Another feed ’em and coach ’em kid who doesn’t have to start right away, but will be in a thin position next year. Plus he’s physically versatile (like Vereen). This would be a good pickup.

We got a lot of those. Glad CBJ is the greatest coach of all time.:)

He has a nice offer list with good measurables. I'd like to know what our chances are. Any chance he comes in on an official visit before NSD? You have to think he'd like playing at Tennessee over Syracuse. Especially since Doug Marrone is gone.

Obviously the staff feels someone we have been recruiting hard the last week or so is not coming with this late of an offer. We don't have that many spots left unless we are set up for some major disappointment come NSD.

Mr Brown is outside of his mind if he thinks its a good idea to live and play football in upstate NY compared to UT. Someone please tweet him the weather forecast from Cuse, I'm too damn cold to do it.

'Cuse has an enclosed field but still there is no advantage to going there over an SEC team.

This could be another Latroy Lewis just not as much size but just as much speed. He would make a great linebacker IMO.

Has he visited us before?

I think the key is in the first post. He’s wanting out because of the coaching change. I think the offer will get him to consider getting down here. Seems like a hot prospect.

Thursday night Tennessee indeed offered Florida defensive lineman Malik Brown as John Jancek stopped by earlier in the week before Jones called Thursday night to inform him of his offer. One note on Brown, he told us Thursday night he actually weighed closer to 250 pounds, so he's definitely a lineman.

He told us he has nothing scheduled for this weekend and will decide this week whether to visit Tennessee or North Carolina State. While some wonder if this meant the Vols were missing out on any certain prospect, we believe it's more of Tennessee having available numbers as it doesn't look like they are going to hit 27 and have room for a few more guys.

So much for 205lbs! DE, indeed.

Maybe they can trim him down about 10 pounds and make him a MLB, since those are few and far between on our roster and in this class.
