Luke where do you stand on Walker. Bama or UF?

Man I don't know. I think UF impressed him last night, that embrace with Muschamp at midfield looked to have something to it. Aug. 24 is a long ways away and I can see some more back and forth like we've seen from him all along.

Also Tifwiw ‏@rita_rocio UF target, DeMarcus Walker, currently meeting with Muschamp..sources say commitment in the coming week (if not tonight) is possible. #FNL...it's from GC so I wouldn't read much into their "sources" bc they all left when Strong headed to L'ville.

-Florida head coach Will Muschamp spent a hunk of time at the camp chatting with four-star defensive end DeMarcus Walker (Jacksonville, Fla./Sandalwood) who will make his decision in late August. The Gators and Alabama are the two teams to beat at present and many insiders think the Tide is the team to beat. We aren’t sure that family won’t play a factor in this, though, thus causing him to stay closer to home.

That was from the free stuff. In the paid article by Goldkamp, it said Walker sat by himself for like 45 minutes before CWM came down there. Also read he knew already where he was going to decide and the trip made no real iimpact. Talked about CWM making the litch to get him to UF, not why if he is a lock, but ok.

“He was trying to get me on the board,” Walker said. “He was just telling me, I’m close on board and he’s trying to push me on board.”

Also said he had glowing things to say about UA like.

“It’s a great program, puts guys in the league,” he said. “They excel at every category when it comes to academics, a good program, community service. They won the Disney Spirit Award. The list goes on.”

And that the only reason he moved his announcement was for ESPN.

In the end who knows but he is not a lock to anyone.
