getting him on campus was a start but "very good" is pushing it.

DW is spending 2-3 days at Aub and Clem over the next 2 weeks so we'll see how you feel after those trips.

"They told me they needed pass rushers and they'd use me in various ways on the defensive line," Walker said. "They told me since they're running a multiple defense, with mostly a 3-4 defense, they would put me everywhere. The three technique, the one technique, the five technique. Everywhere."

Walker said Tennessee coaches showing him love is what stood out to him the most.

"Just seeing what all the coaches are about because they preached to me how bad they needed me," Walker said.

visiting Bama again at the end of June

add he's returning to UF for FNL and visiting USC later this summer. Again nothing to see here because Walker will take visits and all 5 OV. December/Jan is when anyone should open the Walker thread again.

Said the Vols definitely “helped their chances” “I think it’s a real good program and the academics are solid. Football comes into play, but academics come first." “They’re an up-and-coming program, and those guys are recruiting me very hard.”

“I went over film with the coaches. I went over the depth chart. Of course, the academics, we talked about that, and we took a look at the stadium,” Walker said.

“They’ve got a facility that’s getting built and all that, so everything is not complete yet. But in July, everything will be done.”

Sunseri and the rest of Tennessee’s coaches have discussed using Walker “mostly like a five-technique” defensive end, he said, while also expressing interest in playing him in a variety of roles across the defensive line.

“They’re going to be using me in multiple gaps,” Walker said. “They could play me at the one (technique), play me at the three, play me at the five, play me at the six — just move me all over.”

He said he’s now looking to reach a decision in August, but that’s not exactly set in stone at this point.

“If I don’t feel comfortable then," he said, "I’ll just do it when I feel comfortable." UT 247

These are the type of players that we have to sign, consistently, to compete with the best in the SEC.

No information to substantiate this, but I think this kid is just playing the recruiting game. Our journalists aren't helping. He said some nice things, I'm sure liked what he saw, but did it really change his mind? Moreover, I haven't seen HG this confident about a player, ever, so...
