Wow, terry Joseph was a critical factor in hauling in a 5 star.

Lot of hate on here for TJ.

Would've rather brought in a hot shot recruiter and used a GA there if we couldn't get what we wanted.

This. But, in my quest to see the bright side, a positive is that he has been a DC so he MAY bring a different perspective or insight to defensive meetings.

No I was not wrong. where was I wrong? You're still f'ing Crying

You're a scorned female, I understand

You're just upset I constantly make you tuck tail whenever you spout your negative non-sense.

the same guy (Joseph) You swore wasnt doing a good job as recruiting coordinator is the reason the Kid de-commits. :good!:

show me where I was WRONG???

Block my posts from now on Jay. Re-read your posts from pages 4-6 and then you will realize what I am talking about (Alexander not coming to UT).

Man there are some "end of the world" types up in here. Its 10 months til signing day, so many things can change. We all know that CDD needs to have a solid year and if not then most commits won't matter. If we have a solid year then it will shut up the other coaches, the nega-trolls, and we will be fine.

To all the non-nega-vols that are freaking out...step back from the ledge and take a deep breath. PLEASE!!

Jay, this kid will not commit to Tennessee in the end. I am sick of kids not honoring commitments. Yes, it will continue to happen, but I don't personally like it. I understand when kids decommit due to coaching changes, health issues with parents, or unforeseeable circumstances, but I don't like when kids commit when they aren't ready to honor that commitment. His coach was flat out shocked when he committed and went on the record saying how he doesn't think this is a firm commitment, everybody was shocked. Now the kid is already visiting UF. I don't really see how my viewpoint frustrates someone like you who is familiar with the recruiting process. I'm a highly successful person who is anything but insecure and I love Tennessee, but I see through recruits BULL****.

Didn't call this or anything.

I'm so tired of reading this. Why should these kids have to honor a commitment? Their commitment is just as shaky as the coach’s commitment to them. CDD cut, what, 4 kids loose a month before signing day? Everyone knows the score in recruiting, especially with the process speeding up. Each party is looking out for their own interest, as they should. Kids have to hold their spot otherwise they get passed over. Every year there are kids like Trae Elston that don’t commit early, so they end up falling as other classes fill up. Then there are the kids like the RB at Bama or that O-lineman from LSU that get pushed into grayshirting because they committed, stuck to their commitment, and the coach took another kid anyway.

If you’re going to b*tch about “commitment,” why don’t you go ahead and throw “offer” in there as well? How often do we hear a kid has an ‘uncommitable’ offer? What does that even mean? It’s no different than a kid holding a spot on a team while waiting on another offer. It’s just coaches drumming up interest, then stringing a kid along as a fall back. I see most of the same people whining about “commitments” endorsing a coach doing this.

And when it comes down to it, an offer from a school isn’t even really an offer. There is nothing binding about it. At the end of recruitment, the kid makes an offer to let the school allow him to play for them, and the school can accept or reject it.

I am much less upset about this than I was about a player decommitting late in the game after pledging his loyalty(yeah Im looking at you Dalton and Otha.) Its sooooo early right now why would even commit in the first place unless you know 100% you wanted to play for the school and you have at least BEEN THERE TO SEE IT FIRST.

think he commits again on his fsu trip? lol

what schools is he looking at?

fsu and um with Bama making a push. the wildcard is Artie Burns(bama commit) said he was leaning toward FSU atp and he really likes their track program. If Burns decommits to FSU then things could get hot between Bama and Mac. I think he stays instate but I don't know where he lands atp.

Sums it up well. We have the chance to "play" our way into an excellent class. No need to worry. The season can't get here quick enough though.

Exactly! :good!: I can't wait either...

+1

The kid obviously did not have alot of interest in UT. If he did, he would have at least visited before he decided to open things up. Win or not, he will not be coming to Tennessee.

I have seen numerous dumb posts on here, but your post is quite frankly the most laughable thing that I have ever seen. He obviously had a lot of interest in UT, hence why he committed in the first place.

Obviously. I think he was committed for all of 2-3 days before he called the guys at Scout and told them to change him to "soft verbal". Alot of kids pick a school early just to pick a school. They know they can open it up for any reason at any time. This kid has not been a commit to us for while. Obviously, him now saying it just supports what alot of people have been saying for a while.

This is the biggest non-surprise I've had in a while...it was just a matter of time

Its pretty sad that I was hoping he would stick with his commitment just to prove so many vols fans wrong...so much negativity, let him visit, long way to go, hopefully we have the inside track and we prove it on the field and its a happy '13 signing day after all.

Hell I feel like UT is getting back up there with the big boys now. In years past we usually have to wait until August or so to get our first decommitment out of the way.
