Sounds like he has no idea what 100% committed means. Tell him to get with Austin Sanders for the true definition.

This will be the ultimate volnation low self esteem teen girl thread.

Wow!

We need to keep this kid locked up. It will be a fight til the end, but he picked us this early for a reason, hopefully he sticks.

I don't understand everyone's opinion on this kid. He's committed right now...why worry about what might happen. Easy come, easy go anyway.

Will be hard to hold onto with some of the teams and tactics that will likely go down before he signs next year. IF Dooley is still here and nothing shady happens with this guy's recruitment, I think we hang on.

I wonder what the success rate is for actually signing kids that commit a year in advance. I'd bet it is absurdly low. Think Gunner Kiel, Santos, Peters, etc. I'm sure for every guy I can think of there's a guy that has fulfilled his commitment, but I feel like more often than not they sign elsewhere. Maybe it has to do with the coaching staff getting more relaxed with their recruitment since they've committed, allowing other schools to put in the time & elbow grease to pull them away. :ponder:

Well, like Dooley said in the presser... sometimes with an early commitment, all it does is give other interested schools someone to target.

Too much coaching turnover at the end of the season to have an early signing period. Say what you want about being committed to the 'school' and not the coach but if a player fits a certain scheme and a school changes to something you dont fit it is a big deal. Early signing period would screw a handful of kids every year.

"I am 100 percent committed to Tennesseeright now,” he said.

“Notre Dame, Florida State, South Florida, USC have all been looking at me lately,” Alexander said. “There’s a lot of schools that are out there that I want to know about me, though. I want LSU and Alabama to know about me. As of right now, they don’t know. I want to see what their takes are on me.” 247

Why even "commit" when you are still looking at schools and wanting other programs to know about you?

I say there's a 50/50 chance we sign him. We either will or won't. :loco:

Want early signing period

All an early signing period will do is cause kids to cram visits before that date instead of NSD. Players will still sign with a different school they haven''t been committed to. Having an early signing period does nothing to stop player commit defections, which is what most of you want it for. What it will do, is allow coaches to focus on the unsigned prospects after the early signing date. But again, there will still be players that back out of commitments at the last second and sign with a different school.

Dude is a beast like his brother. Edit: Meant to put this in for clarification. This is his brother Mackenro.
