'13 Fadol Brown - DE - (JUCO) Possible Transfer

No I am not. I don't know why you people think this way, but the fact that no one who believes this to be true can substantiate this claim should clue VN in on the legitimacy of their information.

I am the first to admit when I am wrong, and after reading over the bylaws you posted earlier and many more, everything I am finding shows that your actually correct, and it totally changes my position to taking some of these transfers we are looking at.

Thanks for bringing that to light, as I seem to learn something new about the numbers almost every year and sorry for saying you are wrong when everything I find is saying your absolutely correct.

You and I both.

Yes but if we don't land the guy from OSU (his name escapes me) and the coaching staff feels like Brown has the potential to be a guy who can give us good depth and meaningful snaps and maybe a starter down the road then I'd be fine with bringing him in.

I don't know his situation, but he may have been a late bloomer and needed time to get bigger, stronger, and more sound in his technique. That could account for him not playing much at Florida Int. That and I think he only played his freshman year there, correct? Most guys on the DL aren't ready to come in and play a bunch of snaps right out of HS.

“It was really hard for me to get my release, but I finally got it and I am excited for everything now,” Brown told InsideTennessee.com. “Just about every big Division I program out there right now is recruiting me.”

“I know Tennessee is known for putting big-time players in the NFL,” he said. “That is big for me. I have seen all the stuff on their new facilities too. All that stuff looks nice. Their stadium has over 100 thousand seats. I am definitely interested in them.

“I have been talking with a few coaches from Tennessee. I have been talking to Coach Stripling. I was actually surprised — I didn’t know they had a new coaching staff until I started talking with him. They have been heavy on me talking about how I fit into the scheme and everything.”

“The atmosphere at a school is really important to me and getting my degree is a factor too,” he said. “I want to make sure I fit into the scheme well and go some place that is really family oriented.”

With 4.8 40-yard-dash speed, Brown was able to collect 10 tackles, two tackles for loss and two sacks in limited snaps during his only season with FIU.

Brown plans to make his final decision on July 1. Due to his pending transfer to a Division I institution, Brown will have to redshirt for his sophomore season and will have three years to play three beginning in 2014.

The only bad news, we have no OV left ao he will have to come on his own dime.

If your name is BlowhardVol and you like to linger in this thread and froth and foam about this prospect, you'd say the other bad news is that he only had limited playing time at FIU.

For my part, I hope we land him.

I thought I read somewhere on VQ that Pittman wouldn't count against the 13 or 14 class, thus not affecting our schollies this year.

Maybe you could substantiate why this is wrong on your end as opposed to losing your mind on the matter.:hi:

Just curious but has there ever been a recruit that you didn't think we should sign??

It's always easy to say "TAke, take, take, take" but unfortunately recruiting doesn't work that way.

Miami loves Fadol. He is highly thought of, he may end up with the Canes.

Cristobol loved him at FIU, very high ceiling.

Superior Size/explosion.

What's the story on why he was overlooked out of hs and why limited role at FIU if he was so highly thought of??

Injured??

Horrible grades in HS.

There arent many Freshman DL who play significant minutes anywhere in America. Even Clowney had a limited role his frosh yr.

Fadol was undersized DT who added weight to his frame and took very big steps his freshman yr in college.

*Ig*

I think Jay means a limited role as not being the starter and playing most the game Clowney is just good enough to have those stats in a limited role

clowney role was limited. He didnt play nearly the amount of snaps he did his soph yr.
Limited does not mean not playing. He played a lot of down &distance situations especially w/ ingram & devin taylor
Making those numbers even more impressive
