'13 DT AL Rod Crayton

Thanks BTB. I was wondering just because his numbers are unreal for a DT. He is my favorite recruit this cycle.

Regarding the UT offer... can he pull the trigger and be a Vol right now or is the ball in our court?

Dadeville is 4A. pretty stiff competition. I can tell you 4A in Alabama is way better than anything Pagano is facing in Hawaii or Poggi is facing up north.

Alabama stated he is just shy of height requirement of 6'2" for them, plus I think they know he is interested in leaving the state. Auburn is sold on Dee Liner. Not sure why, his production is poor and character issues off the field are a bigger concern. Their loss in my opinion.

That fine if they don't want him......UT will take him all day! Tell him to come on and commit to UT.

Someone needs to find the old Dennis Hopper Nike commercial with Rod Woodson and do a remake to Rod Crayton.

Can someone tell me why he is rated so low? His kind of strength and the stats that he puts up every week seem to be worthy of 4* status to me. Does he play weak competition?

I sure hope this class fills out with some monsters like this guy. Because between this year and next year we will be losing ALOT of contributors in the front 7 (couch, mcCullers, Sent, AJ, Maggitt, Walls, willie bo, jacques, etc)

Hesitancy regarding his foot and the prosthetic he must wear to compensate for the injury/loss. IMO.

Truth is the boy has shown out at every camp he's attended. He has consistently blown-up every player and double-team he faced including his much anticipated one-on-one with LSU pledge big-boy, Joshua Boutte---bull rush or from the four technique RC dominated. He's a player! A player with a chip on his shoulder and I sure hope he's wearing orange the next four yrs!!!!!

Lawson is my biggest want on D right now, with Rod and V Bell 2nd. Crayton just sounds like a machine out there.

I wouldn't want to play against him.

This guy would be a monster addition. Crayton, Lawson, Ben Bradley, and Toby Johnson would immediately impact our defense up front.

A guy like Vereen is another impact guy along with Zanca since both are EEs.

Miles, JRM, and Vonn Bell are very important on the back end with how our secondary is playing.

I really hope we can add Lawson and Crayton plus maybe Yannick and Grace at LB. Would be a sick class. With them being HS guys too instead of juco boys.

Like having the JUCO guys for immediate help to get these HS kids up to speed. Clayton just seems like he will always play like he has something to prove and I like that.

Of all the coaches to complain about being too short? How is being underneath the O-line on every snap a bad thing?

Rod had 15 Tackles and 1 QB Hurry Friday night. Rod played 1 series in the 3rd quarter before starters were pulled and 2nd and 3rd string went in. DHS 33 BHS 6. DHS is 7-0.

BTB, what is going on here?

Not BTB, but on the espn recruiting page the other day it said that he had recently taken a visit to Washington State and really enjoyed it. Apparently, there defensive line coach has been recruiting him since he was a kid.
