Ngakoue's two most recent offers came in recently from Tennessee and Maryland.

"It felt great," he said. "I knew it was a blessing from God."

His first SEC offer from Tennessee definitely seemed to make a lasting impression.

"It feels great to know that I can play on a SEC level of football," said Ngakoue. "Like I said, it's all God's work. I can't stress that enough."

Ngakoue already has a few nice offers, but he's going to get plenty more with his combination of size, quickness, agility and willingness to get physical. He was excellent in coverage, running with quicker and smaller backs, he closed very well in drills and changed direction fluidly despite being a bigger linebacker. He stood out among a group of very good linebackers and running backs going head-to-head.

Was named the top performer at the MDHigh Five-Star Showcase. Also, he goes to the same school as elite '14 prospect Jalen Tabor.

Right in Sal Sunseri's recruiting area of dominance.

Really hope we get this guy.

Sign him at all costs if Kessling retires because of him! :)

This. How did we go from best in radio to worst overnight?

Looks like we are offering tons of LBs. Hopefully Sal earns his top recruiter title for the '13 class.

This is the type of kid that puts on 30-40 pounds in college and is just an animal! Look at his build. Looks a lot like Courtney Upshaws build out of HS. He still looks small even though he is 225. In college he fills out to his full potential and is just a beast. I like this kid he could be real good.

The Washington (D.C.) Friendship Collegiate Academy linebacker has offers from UConn, Maryland, Rutgers, West Virginia and Tennessee and more will be coming. This is a 6-foot-2, 226-pounder who can move and he is a 30-offer kid before all is said and done.

Thanks for the information. That is big news if true. UT definitely needs to be in it for Yannick. Has the potential to be an absolute beast on the field. Would also be nice to see UT beat FSU for a recruit once in awhile.

No problem. I agree, beating FSU for a talented player would be nice, then throw in the fact he is a linebacker and it is even better.

Yannick Ngakoue is a big linebacker who moves very well and has some quick-twitch ability. It's rare to find such a big kid, especially in the lower body, who can move so well laterally and backwards. He is still raw, but his ceiling is very high."
