'13 CO OL Dan Skipper (Arky commit)

This guy has NFL potential. I really want to hang on to him, but it's probably not going to happen.

I wouldnt expect Skipper to be committed long. Hes already going to have a challenge with pad leverage at his height and to be as mobile as he needs to be for this offense he better be a freak.

Agree, this kid will probably leave and I do not think that is a bad thing. Not a fan of 6'10" OT's with dual threat QB's in zone read spreads.

Skipper
Koehler

Have been the 4 for a while...

*Miller committed to Rutgers.
*Morris committed to UCLA
*Munger committed to OSU

We need to sign a min of 4 OL

"Skipper has heard from Jones and they talked over the weekend. Trying to find out if Mahoney has been out there. Goeas hadn't heard from Tennessee as of Monday night. Will check back tonight."

You would hope that our coaching staff would at least contact kids they do not plan to honor the offers for. Just not contacting a kid is not the way to send the message IMO.

I believe that they are---it's a process. From all indications CBJ (and staff) have been going non-stop since Friday.

Skipper offered by Cal and Ohio Slut...I mean State, my bad to all the nuttheads...I mean Buckeyes. I hope we can keep the Big Skipp, he would be a great asset to our team and a great VFL. Hope he has a good repore w Mahony(sp?)

I’m wondering how long until he gets that fourth star and moves from worthless roster-filler to pillar of recruiting class?

I trust the evaluations of the coaches from both of those teams. Seems that our old staff may have known what they were doing after all.

Prior to the belief on this board Dooley was not entirely incompetent when it came to recruiting. That being said he was no where near being a very good recruiter either. He never seemed to pursue big prospects if he didn't believe they were a sure bet and that could cost us on some big playmakers

He won't get that 4th star until he decommits and commits to osu or another power house.

He needs to get to 330 to be thick enough to play in the SEC at 6'10". He can develop nicely even though I would have chosen C.Morris.

I remember people on here being concerned about such a big OL in the previous system. How does he fit into a system like CBJs??? Thought smaller quicker OLmen were needed??
