Was an academic casualty and couldn't make it in to UCLA.

The staff has offered, so they probably think he can get in. He's the 24th overall RB for '13. Film looks legit also. We definitely can use him.

Sounds like Omari Phillips 2.0.....and we all know how that worked out. If he's got talent though I'd love to have him.

Of course the family atmosphere butch is building throughout the team could really lead to a different outcome here. From the outside looking in it appeared that under the previous regimes individual classes were much closer than the team as a whole making it more difficult for a guy like Omari who really wasn't a part of the class per se.

I prefer to think of CP. There were lots of worries about him academically, and he made it in... and the rest is history.

Omari also showed up overweight and unable to contribute which tends to dampen your ability to bond with the team and coaches. Especially if you were promised the opportunity for early PT.

Plus we had several freshmen quit from that class. I think they got here and found out that the atmosphere was toxic. Very different vibe going around now that CBJ is here.

He seems like a good prospect--whom we obviously need--but if he couldn't qualify at UCLA how could he get into UT?

This guys film is really good. He kind of reminds me of Lamarcus Coker from a few years back as far as football play is concerned. How long does the guy have to make a decision? Add some weight to this guy and he'll be a load.

Because this is the kind of player we need to turn things around. It's early and he hasn't committed.

We have a lot better shot at Hurd, and he is who I'd personally rather get at UT. Hurd looks faster IMO, and runs with similar power.
