'13 CA OL Dane Crane

The coaches must have seen something in the evaluation that made them not want Crane to be a priority but with King committing to SCar I thought we should have extended an offer to this guy to get another OL commit early in the process and maybe jump start some more commits (Praying) but with the numbers crunch this year idk.. And we could always recruit over him if there were ever anything better to come along..

Not many true centers, this or any year. Matt Cochran would have been a great p/u (2012)---now his brother, Aaron (6-6 320, OT), recruitment is beginning to blow up!
Different dynamics, Crane and Kyle Serrano are friends. It was Coach Serrano who passed Crane's film to CDD. We'll see how it plays out.

So do you think we should offer Crane atp?

Yes. His recruiting is heating up...recent offers from Arizona, CAL, FSU, and UW, while Oregon is said to be interested.
Ideally, I think the coaches want to get him to camp, but realistically, if Tennessee waits (regardless of his relationship w/ The Serrano's) it will probably cost us. IMO.

With Bullard (JR) and Crowder (FR) penciled in gives Crane the opportunity to come in learn the system and work w/ CRM / S&C program.

If we lose out on Kublanow I hope we finally offer Crane

Based on need, I think we sign between 4-6 O-Lineman.

Here's an interesting note;
4 of the last 7 Rimington Trophy Winners and 2 of the last 4 centers to get drafted in the 1st RD---Alex Mack (CAL) & Dan Mozes (WVU)---were 2* players coming out of HS.

Other Rivals rated 2* recent Rimington Trophy Winners:
Eric Wood (Louisville)
Greg Eslinger (Minnesota)
Jonathan Luigs (Arkansas)
Jake Kirkpatrick (TCU)

I like him a lot but I see a lot of holding calls in his future if he continues to maul/ tackle people. I love that in an ol but the sec would call him on that.. A holding call sure can kill a drive

Exactly what I was thinking watching him play. Maybe easier to teach new techniques than to correct bad habits.

Just checked his Scout profile again.

Committed to Washington according to them.
