This time he's telling recruits not to go to class for a different reason.

If our coach would have done the same thing here at UT most would be fine with it. "Recruiting is cut throat". "We have bigger fish on the line".

True.

However, anything pertaining to Quiffin falls outside the space/time continuum and is not subject to mere mortal UT laws. He deserves a Karma wedgie.

he was the fall out from Mcquay committing to USC.

Numbers crunch due to the NCAA Sanctions

Didnt tell him to look elsewhere, wants him to hold off until fall enrollment.

USC still wants him

Kylie Fitts decommits from USC Trojans - ESPN Los Angeles

Pretty strange read...

"Something happened recently that questioned my trust in USC, so I'm reopening my recruitment," Fitts said. "It literally broke my heart. I broke down and cried. It was so hard for me and my family. It's just what's best for me at this moment. I'm putting in God's hands and trusting that everything will work out."

and...

"I told USC that they're still high on my list. I still want to consider them, but I need to take a step back. Coach [Ed] Orgeron and Coach [Lane] Kiffin still want me a lot, and they want to keep recruiting me. They're going to recruit the heck out of me, they said."

After last night if your a top high school player and you have an opportunity (scholarship offers) to play in the SEC, I think you have to think long and hard about taking it! IMO

If your serious about being a big time player and going against the best of the best!

Must be nice to be in a position to tell a top247 recruit (nationally) and top 10 in the state of CA, no.

Read the article...that's not what happened. Something did happen, probably Kiffenesque in nature, but this is a decision he made himself.

Just another person involved with college football who found the need to take a shower after dealing with our boy Kiff...

Correct. Kiffin just told him he couldn't be an EE because he didn't want to take a chance on losing McQuay. When McQuay became an EE, it put USC at a max due to the sanctions. Heard them talking about it on the radio here earlier.
Sucks for the kid though and it is a shady thing to do to a recruit. He got all his affairs, grades and everything else in order so that he could enroll into college early and get going. Now he is told at the last minute and after all that work that he has to wait until fall.

Based on Kiffy record, the kid will probably be all American. All conference is a given.

Sign the kid up Butch. Kid has an impressive offer list. Not sure if he wants to come East but if he wants to play big boy ball - SEC baby, SEC.
