'13 AL RB Johnathan Ford (no longer a Vandy commit)

Funny story if this is true. It appears the Auburn 247reporter "stole" from the the Auburn Rivals guy the tweet from Ford about his announcement today. The 247 mod rushed to Huntsville for anouncement which as we know is now Wednesday.

Sounds like the au writers have been terrible the last couple weeks.

What's the feeling on your side, SCtiger? Auburn lock?

Positive, but not overconfident. Below just posted by AU Rivals mod -

I still believe Auburn is in good position with 4-star Toby Johnson and 4-star Elijah Daniel. Also with 4-star Johnathan Ford, who announces on Wednesday.

Are we going to get anybody Wednesday or going to finish second on all of them., any locks anybody know.

P. Fortenberry tweeted that we added a rb prospect but I don't know who it is. My bad I for some reason thought you said rb prospect.

Really good chance for UT to land Bell, Miller, Dobbs, Levenberry and Brown. Maybe Boyd and Ford but not likely with family pressure to go to other schools. IMO

So that would give us 22 with the possibility of 1-2 LQs. Not a bad class. I'll take it given the situation.

I'm sure this has been covered, but are back counts cumulative still? Meaning we could sign 28-30 in 2014?

Yes, 2014 class will be close to 30 depending on how we finish this class.

Would we have any problems bumping against the 85 or will enough of the 2010 class be gone for 30 to make it?

Too far off to really say for sure but I'm betting the staff will make it work to get as many as they can in the 2014 class. I'd say over 25 would be a safe bet if we take less than 25 this class. Should be a fun class to follow if we can win a couple big games this fall.

All the legacies make it a really neat class. Would be great if we could pull a lot of those kids.

I really hope I am wrong but I think that is exactly what keeps us from getting Ford. I think he wants to pick us but in the end he will listen to friends and family and stay home. Hopefully next year with some success we can have a rb haul like Ole Miss has had.

Heard anything on who it is? I hope Ford decides himself and not let family decide for him. Makes no sense to go to AU.

I have no clue where the kid is going. I did note that the UT offer/visit did not get him to de-commit from vandy. After he got the AU offer, he did. May mean nothing, it may mean alot.
