'13 AL RB Johnathan Ford (no longer a Vandy commit)

What does Auburn have that has all these top prospects come to their school?

I know they had a NC a few years ago, but I am asking the same question? Same for me with Ole Miss? Am I missing somthing, just dont get how they have 4 rbs a piece and adding more and we cant get one.

It is actually amazing how weak Auburn is at RB. Blakely did not return to school. UT is actually deeper at RB than them. That might be why they are going after Ensworth's Elder so hard. And he is more of a "wingback" type.

At least RB is the best position where a true freshman can make a huge impact. So let's go all in on Hurd and two more 2014 backs.

If what is being rumored in this thread is true, then we will likely soon hear that Aregeros Turner is making a visit this weekend.

If this kid ends up coming some serious props out to the kid. He has certainly put his ego aside to be put on hold if he is willing to come visit and be a vol under these circumstances.

I think we will be pleasantly surprised coming out of the Spring O&W game at what we have in Alden Hill. I think Tom Smith will get a chance to show what he can do as well. The cupboard is not bare, but it is getting thin.

Next year is the critical year to bring in running backs.

I was wondering who the gay guy was with his head cocked(no pun intended) to the side.

All joking aside. Cool stuff USMC1. It's always cool to get an inside peek of what goes on during these recruitment processes.

Graham was drinking a Diet Coke. The guy with the "head cocked" is the Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach. Can't remember his name, but he came to UT from Winthrop in Rock Hill, SC. Worley's home town.

I agree about Hill. No more AJ on short yardage.

I drove over to New Hope yesterday with all my UT stuff on my truck. I wanted to see if I could find Coach Jones and Coach Graham visiting with Ford. While driving down Main Street in New Hope, I got 2-3 thumbs down from people outside their houses. I did get one thumbs up from a guy in a New Hope City truck. There seemed to be more Alabama fans than Auburn fans in the town. BTW, I never saw any of our coaches. I sure hope the local people don't influence Ford not to sign with UT.

That was you I saw driving around? You probably didn't see me wave, I was in the bushes looking through the window at Coach Jones and Graham...

I wanted to get Coach Jones to sign a football for me to use in a silent auction for a young lady with stage 4 colon cancer. Sorry if I sounded like a stalker.:ermm:

Don't have to defend yourself. If I k ew CBJ would be in a town near me, I'd love to go meet him.

I spoke with someone close to Ford today and they indicated that the visit with Tennessee went well last night. It's believed that Ford has indicated to some people at New Hope that Tennessee is his desired preference, but he has influences around him that are pushing Auburn really hard. The Tigers are obviously going to be hard to beat, but I'd expect to hear very little from Ford and just a lot of speculation in the coming days.

According to 247, Coach Jones had an extremely impressive presentation for Ford last night that went really well. No other school was mentioned in the presentation besides Tennessee. Ford is not scheduled to visit anywhere this weekend, but that's not set in stone. Decision at 11 AM on Signing Day.
