'13 AL RB Johnathan Ford (no longer a Vandy commit)

He has already said he wants to rb first. He also wants to play day 1. Tn will give him that shot better than others by missing out in our top targets. Everything happens for a reason and striking out now may become a home run later

Yeah RB is his passion and as far a fluidity goes, he can play the position to a 5* level no matter his height.

Anyway this is Ford's thread, so I'll save my Hurd talk for another day

Flame away if you wish but I find myself starting to slowly move towards the Jay Graham maybe can't land UT a high caliber SEC RB. I am sold on his coaching ability after seeing our RB's progress this past season but am seriously starting to question his recruiting skills.

#Vols RB target Johnathan Ford appears to be focusing on just four teams now. RT @rudythebeast5 #FSU #UGA #AU #VOLS

Be patient. Graham will get it done.

Can't judge him on this year. He should get a pass this cycle.

I think you have to wait until 2014 class to decide that.

I think you make a fair point on RB recruiting but he is the lead recruiter for some non RBs that we appear to be in great shape for. I would stop short of criticizing him as a recruiter at this point.

This ^^^^^^

I think it's too early to judge CJG. He is the lone holder from a messy cluster of a staff. He has a lot to overcome. If we don't land a stud next year let the bashing begin. With a few wins next year and a bowl, I think the stars will align to pull a great running back as well as many other positions.

Agree, and he can sell the program better than any of our other recruiters, because he gave it his all on the field for UT. He was here during a successful time for UT, so he can build up that hype of how great it is when we are winning, and sell to the recruits, do you want to be a part of bringing UT back.

Dude's been here a year: give him time. I think he's more a victim of circumstance than anything so far. We're just not an attractive team for the top backs at the moment. Graham was the only reason we were even being considered by Green.

We'll see what he can do paired with CBJ's relentless recruiting staff in the next few years.

The coaches will be in home tomorrow night with Ford. They will be talking with him and the family tonight, they're trying to decide whether or not to have Turner visit this weekend.

Isn't Levenberry supposed to be on campus tomorrow? Hope he doesn't get upset some coaches are out recruiting Ford while he's in town.

If Auburn is truly expecting to redshirt him, and they are truthful with him about it, we might be able to pull this one out.

One thing I know is he ain't redshirting if he chooses UT.
