'13 AL RB Johnathan Ford (no longer a Vandy commit)

My apologies. Welcome. So basic rules you need to know:

1. Don't troll the board. Everyone WILL hate you.
2. NOBODY LIKES JAMES FRANKLIN. THE FIRST RULE OF VN IS DON'T TALK ABOUT FRANKLIN.
3. You're little brother. And don't forget it :)

Sorry we got off on the wrong foot

Your fine lol
1. I won't troll the board but I will probably say something during game day lol win or lose, but with respect
2. I will not mention Franklin unless a question needs to be answered or a question is asked. If Franklin wasn't hated around here, he wouldn't be doing his job lol
3. True, as a vandy fan I hope we can change that a little ever year

Thanks for the welcome, alot of good recruiting info on VN

Can anyone explain why a running back would go to a school whose RB coach left last week? Does he not care who his coach will be? Does he think he already knows how to maximize his talent?

Simple...he grew up an Auburn fan. In the state of Alabama, apparently who you grew up a fan of means something unless you're TJ Yeldon.

I am glad to see Vandy doing good. If it were up to me the winner of the UT-VU game would win the SEC and the other have 1 loss. I prefer that to be Vandy losing to my Vols, but losing to you guys is nothing to me as long as we beat our big out-of-state rivals, especially bammer&fla&Uga&SoCar! With all respect. Yall are irrelevant to me except as another W. All u ever have been. All,with the exception of an historic downfall in UT history in 5&12. Yall didnt beat us. We gave yall freebies for charity. Go Vols!

OMGZZZ!!! Smitty!

Don't let some of these guys get to you. I'll vouch for you any day.

Catbone I appreciate your negative candor...and that' s a compliment...you feeling good about Ford?:)

Thanks man.. a compliment is rarely given to me on here haha, but I think its a 50/50 at this point. Hopefully we can reel em in! It'd be a huge boom IMO

I might understand that . . . except when combined with his commitment to Vandy.

As for Ford, unless he takes an official visit to Georgia this weekend and the Dawgs make a strong push, I think Auburn is the place. The one-time Vanderbilt commitment blew up in the last month unlike any other player this year.
-Mike Farrell.

Johnathan Ford hosted Auburn Tuesday night
in his home and the Tigers have on the full court press. Nothing has
changed it appears at this point and the Vols are expected to get to
make the final pitch for Ford. We continue to hear that Ford has been in
pretty consistent communication with coaches and people around the Vol
program. But Auburn seems to have some confidence as well.

ESPN Insider on ford...

Four schools were on Johnathan Ford's (New Hope, Ala./New Hope) radar when he decommitted from Vanderbilt Monday. Auburn, Florida State, Georgia and Tennessee are the schools Ford is now considering. He may have already made his decision between the quartet of programs.

"He's expected to choose Auburn despite offers from Georgia and FSU over the weekend," TideNation.com's Greg Ostendorf told Rumor Central. "He's scheduled to announce on signing day but he could pull the trigger sooner rather than later."

Ford is a likely redshirt target if he chooses Auburn with Tre Mason, Mike Blakely and JUCO recruit Cameron Artis-Payne expected to comprise Auburn's running back rotation this fall

Where there's a lot of smoke, there is usually fire. Probably another one that the coaches feel good about, but that we don't land. Only RB we may land this class is the one we were going to greyshirt, and that is not a jab at Devaun. Just smh as to why we can't land just one good to elite RB.
