He was hired their few months ago.

this seems to happen without fail. I'm not bashing recruits, but it's pretty amazing that UT doesn't seek to fare that well when it's the recruit's "dream school."

A couple weeks before CBJ. But, Malzahn also already had a #10 class to retain. We had a #47 class to improve. Huge...huge difference.

Kids just want to be on a winning program, and not to have to be one of the foundations or cornerstones of rebuilding greatness. Disappointing, yes, but not really surprising, IMO.

One would think they are thin in the back field. IMO it is crazy to try and convert a rb into a cb

Looks like injuries forced the move. I guess it depends on how Ford looks at it. If he was not in the 2-3 deep at RB, seeing the field as a TFR at DB may not be a bad thing. Obviously it would slow his development moving back to RB in the future. No doubt he would have seen carries for us this year.

Hard to say. He was sitting 4th on the depth chart with (3) JRs ahead of him.

I think talent wise we are missing something considering our lack of depth at the rb spot this yr.

Kind of a stretch, but it worked for us moving a RB to a LB. Not quite as drastic, but still.

I don't think so. I believe he was moved because they are so thin in the secondary. Not because he lacked the skill to be an SEC RB. We could have used him for sure.
