'12 VA DT Korren Kirven (Bama signee)

auburn is in on an awful lot of highly rated folks here at the end.

it can be a boom or bust day for several schools, particularly florida, georgia, and auburn.

they may hit the jackpot or go bust. but, if the typical situations play out (win some, lose some) aurburn will get a few notables tomorrow
mostly bust

yeah multiple reports now says that he wants to go to Bama, only hold up is the issue with distance by his mom. so if not Bama it will be VTech

Misery loves company...hopefully UF and Bama have equally crappy days tomorrow.

don't count on it.

the worst thing that will happen for them tomorrow is that they only get 1/3 to 1/2 of the 5 star uncommitted talent that they are after

Bama will most likely get him and Tomlinson. Then they'll greyshirt someone who would have been an impact player at UT. GBO!

I share your hatred of those two programs; they are mine own worse enemies. However, it would have to be the debacle to end all debacles, my friend. Each program has a veritable plethora of who's who in high school football already verbally committed. Chances of them decommiting tomorrow: super unlikely.

Wow! This is unreal! We just can't win...period! We were leading on Friday, and coming in 3rd on NSD. Bama must be paying A LOT of money to guys to talk them into greyshirting, when they could be going to other top notch schools on scholly and playing big-time minutes.

Kirven will commit to Bama.

Alabama has taken the lead for ESPNU 150 defensive tackle Korren Kirven of Lynchburg, Va. The 6-foot-3, 270-pound Kirven is rated as the No. 8 tackle prospect in the country by ESPN, and it was thought a few days ago that his finalists were Tennessee and Virginia Tech.

How did Bama notify him during the dead period? Legit question, I thought programs couldn't contact recruits today.

Must be nice to be Bama. They snap their fingers and players come running.

They do this little thing called "winning." Maybe if we ever do that again, we can have that sort of pull. Honestly, considering how bad we've been, the decent class we're about to sign is pretty amazing.

I have not seen many say for sure Kirven to UA from our sites. Seen the rumors out there but I also heard his mother is pushing for him to stay home. Another rumor is UA offered a grayshirt so who knows.

I would argue that they do this thing called having a coach by the name of Nick Saban. The winning came after he started recruiting sick classes. Now the winning continues.

What's up with Bama feeling they are so entitled that they can offer any and everyone a greyshirt? I have heard you say this a few times now...I know you mentioned it with Kwon Alexander. I'm sorry, but if I was the 8th or 10th or whatever ranked DT in the country as Kirven is, then I would tell them to take a hike, and take my scholly to UT or VT.
