This seems to be fairly unique in that only his parents are visiting. Maybe Korren is for UT, but his parents aren't quite convinced yet. I don't really know. But I got to think it helps our chances out that they would take the time to check things out on their own.

well gibbs hall guy and i are going to do our part to try and sway them, ive got a mock-up done for the rock painting were planning for tomorrow night and hopefully his parents like it.

There are shootings on other campuses much more often that don't go reported. If the same events happen at VT - it is national news. (check Maryland, USC, WVU, Michigan St., etc.)

If KK wants to be a Hokie, his parents need to allow him to do what he wants to. He would be a huge get, but his falks are not the ones who have to go to class and spend 3-5 years putting in the work. Strange for parents to be taking visits without the recruit.

You think it's his parents who are pushing him to UT and away from VT? I'm pretty sure, if anything, it's the opposite. Korren is obviously very interested in attending UT. So his parents are making a 10hr round trip visit to check out the academics and make sure they approve, if indeed their son signs with UT.

I just noticed in the other thread about painting the rock that his parents did not make the trip with him here. I did not realize that and I guess it would make sense they would visit to check things out if UT is a real option. Why would he not come with them though? I would think if he really likes us, he would want to be here to talk it up and point things out to his folks he likes about being a VOL. I don't think I have ever heard of parents taking recruiting trips without the recruit. (Maybe Cam's dad, but that was to pick up the check).

Agreed.

It sounds more like they didn't take UT too seriously until he got back from his visit. And now that they know Korren is serious about it, they are doing their due diligence.

School would be why he isn't coming. These guys already miss so many days and I am assuming that's why he isn't coming.

I agree 100%...I feel like I have a good pulse on this one. His parents wouldn't just come if TN isn't a major player here. I have no doubt in my mind that Dooley and Sunseri will absolutley floor the Kirven's and that they will leave TN will full approval of their son going to TN.

Kirven will go quiet and will shock the world when he picks the Vols over Bama and in state VT.

VT is a major player. They have been the favorite from day 1. The Lynchburg area has strong ties to VT and if he goes anywhere else, it will be a shocker to people in the area.

I agree, if a kids parents are coming over to visit there is definitely some interest.
