I am sure this has been said many times, but I am just really glad that Dalton let our staff know yesterday and didn't make them wait till he faxed over his LOI to Texas to find out.

At least it isn't a JC Copeland, Lamar Dawson or Gabe Wright scenario.

We will sign Davis, Leggett, and Kirven.

Possibly Patterson as well to close out a great class.

I am still trying to reconcile the following "facts" I have learned from this board/thread:

1. Texas sucks and will only suck worse over the next few years. The players suck and the coaches suck.

2. Dalton Santos is slow and fat and will suck at Texas but he fit the Tennessee system perfectly and would have been a high NFL draft pick if he had gone to Tennessee.

3. Dalton will never start at Texas (even though all of the Texas players suck) and the few snap he does get will be at DE or Kicker or H-back.

Texas sucks. You're welcome. :)

most parents would be thrilled that their child had a chance to fulfill his dream of playing at his favorite school (for free). All the sour grapes arguments are getting worse by the hour

Absolutely. Son stays close to home and play for the state school. There is no doubt the parents would want that. There may be best fit questions but we make those based on what we want. I have made the argument that he would be a DE in Texas because there is a good chance he would grow into one wherever he ends up. I think he has a better shot at staying at linebacker here based on the defense we will run and the size of lb's Sunseri has had in the past.

Why are you still here?

You're reaching and trying to be an "A-hole". You said you wouldn't in one of your previous posts. You know VNers are just upset about losing DS. DS is going to be a good player no matter what school he attends so just go back to your board and gloat that y'all got him and be happy. We don't need another "A-hole" on VN because we already have a enough of them.

1. People just see a little resemblance between Mack Brown and Fulmer here. Look at Phil's first ten years and then the next seven years. It is very similar to Brown.

2. Sour grapes argument. It is probable he will end up at DE and if that happens there will be the probability of getting recruited over. Could happen anywhere.

3. More sour grapes. But Texas still sucks.:loco:

Has anybody given this guy the VN history lesson related to Texas, yet?

difference is MB has a weak conf and in-state recruiting to prop himself up. Fulmer didn't have that luxury

agreed, this is part of the game
if the show were on the other foot we would be dancing in the streets

honestly the way fans were already freaking out over him he prolly made the best decision. If he didnt get double digit sacks next year im sure he wouldve been crucified on this board

Week before signing and they only offered because other people said no that's why.We watch the vols every week in every sport .My son would had sat around for at least Two years feeling that he wasn't good enough for the vols.I don't want my child to feel he isn't good enough. If that's a problem with you ignore my post.He would have had offers to play other places for free too.So he is supposed to tell all the other people, players , and coaches thank but owell just because UT came running.I really could care less that SANTOS isn't coming here .Never understood the big deal everybody liked him so much when we've signed a lot better talent in this class than him.Peters,Croom,Browles,Obrien, the jucos all are better than him.

I just find it funny that a lot of people acted like Santos leaving "wasn't a big deal," yet Espn still has it as their number 1 story on their college football page. I guess they are just keeping it up because they hate us, not because it's a big deal.

The young man has a right to go where he wants. Obviously, his heart was still in Texas, not the real UT. I hope he does well at UTjr. and has a NFL future.
