'12 TX LB Dalton Santos (Texas Commit)

Texas LB Dalton Santos, who’s committed to Tennessee, said the visit to Arkansas made the recruiting process much tougher on him. The team unity was huge with him along with the fans. He said he could have a final decision in a couple days or week. He’s not taking any other visits. I think Arkansas has a very good chance.

Santos needs to pick UT. Although we run some forms of the spread, Arkansas runs it all game. That means all he will be doing in practice is covering WR and RB in the flats. He needs to prepare himself for the NFL. His strength is run defense. Sunseri will prepare him far better than anyone at Arkansas could.

This should be a no brainer. Texas A&M would even be better for him than Arkansas.

Here comes the he is just telling the Arkansas fan base what they want to here talk without thinking its possible he is doing the same to us.

People need to realize that 99.9% doesn't mean what they think it means. Athletes are terrible at math. As long as he is taking visits to top 10 programs (currently that is), he is not 100% committed.

The visit is probably over or almost over, per the 48 hr rule. I would imagine Santos has been in touch with UT coaches if so.
If it's over and he hasn't, I would be concerned.

For some strange reason I thought he stated this was his last OV.....this weekend....

That being said I think you can determined he has made a decision and he is 99.9% sure of it....Unless he has changed....Anything over 50% is fine with me. College athetes do know what over half is....so instead of 99.9 lets call it 50.1 and let the other 10 schools figure out where that sit with the remaining 49.9. Numbers don't lie but liars figure numbers....

I've spoken with the Santos family a few minutes ago and they said the Arkansas visit went well. "Arkansas put their best foot forward," was what they told me. With that said, they did let me know that Arkansas won't be where Dalton attends college. Now the question becomes, will they take a visit next weekend? At this point, I don't see them visiting Georgia, Ohio State, or Texas A&M.

It was over when CSS sat down and talked to him.....This kid is smart and so is the CSS. He knows that if he wants to go Pro....this is the best path for him...Plus the supporting cast is really looking good....enables him to play his position at 100% under a good solid LB coach who happens to be a DC. Not bad...Plus Competition is healthy all around. Early playing time....No Brainer.....
