'12 TX LB Dalton Santos (Texas Commit)

The funniest thing I've read in a long time is the Dawg fan claiming AJ couldn't fit in a 3-4 and he couldn't cover the field. In a 3-4 the ILB's aren't expected to cover receivers. That's comical. AJ is built from the mold of Donta Hightower. I guess Hightower can't play in the 3-4 either, huh?
Putting words in my mouth.. never said he can't play 3-4, Todd Grantham didn't want him because we had players that better fit his scheme and players already committed that he wanted over AJ

Doesn't matter to me that Santos didn't get his 4th star. Or that A.J. wasn't ranked as highly as he should have been last year.

This is what matters. A.J. Johnson and Dalton Santos are going to wreck **** in the SEC for years to come. Bank on it.

For good reason. AJ had no interest in Georgia. He would have been wasting his time. That's the funny thing. You can say you didn't want him , but make sure you realize he didn't want to go to Georgia in the first place.

If you know everything, you would know that UGA did not offer AJ. Check it for yourself. Our staff took a long hard look at him, CTG watched him work out once. They felt he did not fit what we wanted in a LB. Not a knock against the kid but coaches make those kind of decisions all the time. The staff makes these decisions and sometimes they miss on them, this happens to everybody. Take a look at Randall Cobb and Patrick Willis, solid NFL guys.

Why would CMR come to Gainesville High? Maybe to build and/or strengthen the relationship with the coaches because we have had trouble getting kids from there lately. Remember the 2010 class when we missed on Blake Sims (Bama) and Tai-ler Jones (Notre Dame).

It's okay if you want to take a shot at CMR and UGA, just include all of the facts.

Its our board, we can take all the shots at CMR we want with NO FACTS. Suck it.

Haha ok

but just to reiterate, we didn't need AJ Johnson to have a top 5 defense this year
