zsnow apparently posted on his twitter that he heard santos might decommit soon. Sadly, this is what I was told earlier.

Hope he stays, but I don't blame him. He has got to do what's best for him, and I'm sure we will hire a D list man for the job. Hope I am wrong.

hope i'm wrong but i bet ut loses Santos and gets R Brown. Dooley is losing this kid every minute and either he's being too dam hardheaded about a DC or he's just a d!ck and nobody wants to work with him. Big recruiting weekend with a few big defensive guys coming up and UT doesn't have a DC or a linebackers coach. Haha what a joke. Dooley is lucky it's only one player that feels like this. I support Dooley as much as i can, but dam he makes it hard sometimes.

I would never do this but the things I would like to say to Dooley when i step onto Haslam Field for Fan Day during the Orange and White game weekend would be brutal. Just seeing the guys face nowadays pisses me off. Make a damn hire!

All you guys clammoring to make a Defensive Coordinator hire in a week or so obviously don't understand how contract negotiations, etc work. I know when you got your jobs at McDonalds it was a simple process when that pimple-faced General Manager hired you for your exciting new career, but when you have contract negotiations and agents involved, if you get something done in a couple of weeks you're a miracle worker.

Generally agree, but hires can be made quickly. The parties agree to a Memorandum of Understanding and go to work while the contract gets hammered out. Happens all the time. Billy Gillespie worked at UK for nearly a year under MoU without a contract.

They must really be working miracles down at Auburn. Their guy was coaching the Falcons just a few days prior to taking the job to be their DC. If you're going to act like you're smarter than everyone, at least have a clue of what you're talking about.

Fail. The leaps and bounds people go on this board to defend Dooley is beyond me.

Losing Santos won't make or break Dooley's career. Hiring the wrong DC will though. Losing Santos won't set Tennessee football any further back. Hiring the wrong DC will.

I am positive Dooley wants this kid at UT, but he can't just sacrifice everything over 1 recruit.
