I second that. He made no adjustments at the half either. WVU marched right down and put more points on the board. They exploited the Safeties and the LB's never got deep enough to cover the middle.

This was what I was looking for last night at half. Given our issues with second half performances, I was hoping to see Steele make adjustments and shut it down the second half. Not so much...

UTVOL let me get this straight.

Dead period means no face to face but calls can be made both ways.
Quiet period is no face to face or calls to recruits but they can call you.

Correct?

Read on one of the Gator boards that the Gators are now reaching out to him too..........I don't know much about the kid but i would assume he is a pretty good LB if you guys are this excited about him.

As defined by the NCAA...

Glossary of terms - NCAA.org

Quiet period is a time when the college may not have any in-person talk with the prospective student-athlete or the parents off the college’s campus. The coach may not watch the prospect play or practice. The prospective student-athlete can visit college campuses during this time and a coach may write or telephone.

Dead: recruit can't come to campus and no face to face. 1 call per week

Quiet: the only difference is kids can come on campus still no off campus meetings

It amazes me how fast recruits will listen to coaches and universities that haven't been interested in them until 4 wks b4 NSD...actually haven't even looked at his film until then! I think Santos is blowing smoke at Urban. Hopefully we get some gr8 news about a DC hire (Shannon PLEASE!) and Santos quickly puts this all to bed and says ,"I am a VFL!"

One of the other Vol boards said Santos dad wants his son to go back and visit A&M.........and also visit UF and Ohio State.

is any of that correct?

Haven't heard anything about A&M recently. He is most likely planning to visit UF and Ohio State. Those have been talked about already.

I don't see him liking tOSU for several reasons, but afterall, much of this could change after a DC hire.

Way way off topic, what's up with the Dools nickname? That has to be the most unimagitive and weird nickname ever. I've seen it a billion times, annoys me everytime.

Sorry for derail. I will take my lashings now.
