All this crap about Clemsons D is worthless without some perspective. Are they deep? Are they young? Did they suffer through a lot of injuries to their best players? Were they supposed to have a very good D this year? I honestly don't know. I'm sure some of the statniks and news junkies can figure these questions out.

All but 1 of Clemson's starters on D is an upperclassman. They are well stocked on D from previous recruiting classes. There are no excuses for this.

WVU had 533 yrds but 4 TOs. LSU only had 366 yrds, but no TOs. I am pretty sure what I said is not out of the realm of credibility. LSU won 47-28. You know that is a messed up box score. LSU as they almost always are, was lucky. I don't care how you got it. To put 533 on LSU is a freakin good performance.

There is no doubt that WV can be a very tough match up if they get things going down hill. I agree with exactly what your saying with how that game turned out.

A lot of those yards came from LSU backing off somewhat. They dominated the game early on. Don't know what makes you think WVU can/would/could beat LSU. Stats never tell the whole story. You could see LSU go to sleep that game after dominating early.

Oh well..I guess that answers that. Except for the fact that WVUs Offense is pretty dang beastly.

So...it was the dreaded mustang and that's all? I watched a big part of that game, and it seemed to me the only way LSU stopped WV nearly all game was by TO. Anyway, that debate aside because I really dont care that much. You guys win.:hi: My main point was that the best Defense in CFB couldn't do much with WV, so it is not suprising that Clemson couldn't either. I still say 533 is more than enough against most teams to score 50-60 barring turnovers. That much is not that debatable.

The game tonite looked like a 'perfeact storm' of sorts.. With a game like they had tonite, WVU beats anyone and most would not be close...

Didn't watch that game but sounds like Clemson couldnt/wouldn't run the ball. LSU would've just slowed the game down.

Let's get this thread back on track. What's the opinions of the OhioSt interest and visit later this month?

"I'm still committed to Tennessee, but they've had a few changes to the coaching staff," Santos stated after Wednesday's practice. "I am looking around, and I've had several coaches contact me. I am going to head back to Tennessee on the 13th. Then, I'm going to Arkansas on the 20th. The weekend after that I'm going to go to Ohio State."

"Ohio State just started recruiting me this week," he added. "I spoke to (assistant coach) Luke Fickell last night. He called me and said he liked my film, and I told him I'm definitely interested. I just want to enjoy this game and play my best, and focus on the recruiting when I leave here."

The natives (recruits) are getting restless. Schools are negative recruiting, and really pushing our current instability problems. CDD and Hart need to get this over with. Steele just didn't do anything for me last night. I sat there in the cold and didn't see the defense make one adjustment. Their Safeties were atrocious. I'm not basing this off of one game though. Just my observation of the game last night.

70 points is embarrassing. You have weeks to scheme for a team, and they put 70 on you. Embarrassing.

I really hope CDD and Hart have someone better in mind. I don't care if he can recruit. I don't want to give up an average of 35.0 pts/game.

I agree, Lynx. I mean, the perception of most is that WVU isn't as good as they really are and not as much credit is being given to them as should be. WVU is a damn good football team, they would beat most SEC teams. Hell, their qb threw for over 400yds and 2 TD's on LSU but they gave up 4 turnovers so they lost.

However, 70?! 70 points! No excuses. It was pretty clear Clemson wasn't ready for the game last night and after the 2nd quarter they didn't even show up in the 2nd half. I really hope RS is announced as UT's new DC very f'n soon. Hiring KS 24-48hrs after lasts nights performance would be suicide, IMO.

I second that. He made no adjustments at the half either. WVU marched right down and put more points on the board. They exploited the Safeties and the LB's never got deep enough to cover the middle.

How is Fickell calling him not a violation? Isn't this a Recruitment Dead Period?! That goes for any team calling recruits...am I missing something??

I do not consider this guy a Tennessee commitment. He sounds like he has not made a decesion as to where is going to school.

If we lose one, I think I would rather lose Santos than Peters based on the fact that Chavis would take Peters and Chavis has had success with linebackers.
