'12 TX LB Dalton Santos (Texas Commit)

We are in this mess largely because Phil Fulmer fiddled while the UT football program burned and our big money boosters allowed it to take place.

I just went to TXags recruiting site and they DO NOT have a current Santos thread. If what this "recruiting site" That said he open was true, I believe they would atleast be talking about it!

I agree. I am not taking any blame from Kiffin for the program's current situation. I just believe that Kiffin is a much better in-game coach than Dooley - no comparison.

That's about all that is new.

The defensive staff might be drastically different next season per rumors about Wilcox heading west.

Texas A&M moving to the SEC (a major reason he picked the Vols) hurts us. Not only that, but words can't describe how embarrassing that loss to Kentucky was. Hell, there's people here in Michigan laughing at us.

It's a long way until signing day, but this place will be miserable up until kickoff. That Kentucky loss left a very, very sour taste in our mouths.

Tell them appy st. that will shut em up. Also ask them when was the last time they had a 26 game winning streak on anybody in their crap lousy conference.

If enough of us keep yelling loud enough to fire the coaching staff we can get good players like Santos to go elsewhere. Let's run off Dooley, then Wilcox, then Sirmon. That way we can start over like we did when Fulmer and Kiffin left.

The folks at TXags recruiting site are NOT even talking about Santos right now! One would think if he were "looking" there would be alot of talk on their board right now!

Tux is being proved spot on and you are being wrong with every passing game.

I guess we are going to forget about Kiffin's humiliating loss to Arizona State, Ole Miss, Auburn, Notre Dame, Washington, and Oregon State.

Kiffin has two first rounders on his team along with a top 5 pick. It can be argued that USC has the most talent in the Pac 12, going recruiting rankings. The Pac 12 is very down this year with Oregon being the only real good team.

To add to that... Here's a very realistic scenario I could see playing out in many living rooms:

Rival SEC coach: "Hey (current UT commit) you should really check out the free Vols message board and see how the fans feel about the whole rebuilding process. I understand that you like the current coaching staff and believe in what they can do but just skim through most of the thread topics. It's definitely something to think about. Get back to me if you have any questions"

I have to admit, if I was a rival coach that is EXACTLY what I would do...

Dalton Santos hasn't been swayed the mitigating factors surrounding Tennessee's football program.

One of the Volunteers' highest-rated commitments for the 2012 class, the four-star prospect from Van (Texas) High School said he is sticking by the pledge he made in August.

“I'm still a Tennessee Vol for sure,” the nation's top inside linebacker said. “I love it there. That's my school.”

Nice. Thanks Smokey

Lol, are you being serious? That would come off worse than citing Wikipedia in a doctoral thesis. All major program have lunatic message boards, we don't own that market.

Not tryin to be a smart ass or anything but with the way things are goin right now could u honestly blame him?

If you are reading this message board, we all love you here in Volnation and we NEED you to stick with us. We will be back to where we belong and that is at the top of the SEC. It's great to be a Tennessee Vol! You'll see...

I think Sirmon is the key here. Tex A&M is about to actually fire their coach. I know alot of fans who hate Sherman and want him gone. 247 took his words out of context. Fans, media, former players, and you know opposing coaches are killing UT right now. For all the people who complain about Dooley throwing his players under the bus, some of you guys are throwing the whole program under the bus. You don't have to like everything but try to support the team and let folks know you support them. In good times and bad, as long as you wear the T and the orange in any fashion, shape or form, you are family.
