And a 4* on scout #4 ILB.........also, even though he is a 3*on rivals he is the #10 ILB. Will be a 4 soon. No way to complain about this one!!!!!!!!!!!

I think scout has him as 4*, and rivals said he's the #10 LB in the country. That's huge IMO.

woot woot...just got the text and figured i'd throw out a Big Orange welcome to our newest Vol Mr. Santos........wait til he meets someone across the middle

Santos is clearly one of the most important recruits in this class -- a tackling machine at ILB. Even if we miss on DJ tonight, Santos makes this a great day for the Big Orange -- he is far more important than DJ as far as meeting our needs.

Boom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 down and 1 to go. DJ make my day super fantastic. He made the best choice, we are on the way back to the upper end of the SEC. He will now be apart of this.

Link to his comments today-
Van LB Dalton Santos picks Tennessee

Santos spoke with Tennessee LB's coach Peter Sirmon earlier in the afternoon, "He told me he'd been waiting for my call and when I told him of my decision Coach Sirmon started jumping up and down---and it was right in the middle of their practice, he was excited and pumped up."

Looks like our LB core is gonna be so sick in the upcoming years.....AJ, maggitt, and Santos will usher in a new era!

Our futures so bright, we gotta wear shades!

So, no one knows when the word came that he would be committing today?

The word about calling Sirmon at practice and him jumping around suggests that the staff didn't already know. That probably blows my theory that the staff asked for an announcement today to offset bad news from DJ.

There may not be any bad news. I thought our chances with Santos were worse than with D.J. We may get a surprise at 7.
