This thing looks even between the schools with UT being in the SEC and aTm being close to home. He likes both of the position coaches. I am afraid that the fact that he has friends at aTm may be the deciding factor for him.

And playing vs. the spread 8 games a year might be a reason to look at another conference. Especially since the SEC East division has all pro-offense teams and has two permanent dates with SEC West teams that have power running games. Exactly like what a kid like this want to play.

Meeting the running back in the hole is what a MLB lives for.

They may not be the best two defensive players on our board, but Santos and O'Brien are my favorites.

I hope he knows that friends help you build a treehouse. The SEC will make him the 1st LB picked in a NFL draft.

Coaches tell me that they like my aggressive nature," Santos said. "I've always been that way. I've had good instincts. I've been catching the football ever since I could walk. To me it's not about what's going on around me. It's my love and passion for the game. I live to knock the piss out of someone and de-cleat them. I love to look up in the stands and see 100,000 going crazy. It's what I live for. It's what I've always done. I'm never going to give up. I'm relentless. It's do-or-die time every play."

siap.

100,000 going crazy, allvol for sure!!!

I love this guy's attitude. The distance is going to be hard to overcome, but it sounds like we're in it.

I think because of distance, and having a few friends on AtM's roster is literally neck and neck. This might be a tough pull for us.

If he loves to knock the piss outta people he should pick us. If he loves having to chase slot receivers all over the field he should go play in the pass happy conference.

Dalton...if you are reading this...we want you in orange, badly! (No homo)

I second that emotion. And will add, if you want to be an all time, loved legend at MLB. UT is def the place for you. Ask Al Wilson, guys like him and Hacksaw and Dale Jones are never forgotten here.

Jmo... IMHO, anyone who says, "no homo" should be slobber knocked, your on a football forum, i don't think anyone's really homo around these parts.... Wait for it... And here come the flamers.

Von Miller was the first LB drafted in the last draft. A&M used to be Linebacker U. we can hold our on with LB

A&M had 90k+ for the Nebraska game, and add ons to Kyle Field are going to come in the very near future. Rumors are the Capacity will be closer to 92k after. i know its still not on UT level, but the atmosphere will be just as good, if not better

Perhaps not quite as tough as you think. First, Santos himself has expressed the desire to play in the SEC. He likes the kind of football we play here more than against the pass happy offenses of the hapless 12. More than that, he liked everything he saw here at Tennessee, from the facilities (including the 100,000 seat stadium) to the coaches. Hopefully he also had some time to do some bonding with his potential future teammates here.

Second, I don't think most have paid quite as much attention to the Dad's offer to relocate. Yes, it takes some of the pressure off of his son, but it is more than that. I doubt seriously that the Dad would make that offer if he himself was not sold on the Vols also.

I like our chances.
