You caught that also. I was sitting here thinking that it takes 6 just to get from Knoxville to Memphis. We are off of his list, folks. Move on...

He never said driving time. I think this means he won't go any further than Paris, France to play (9 hrs 25 mins from DFW).:)

Hey guys, looking to get some opinions on our top positions of need in entering into 2012 once all our seniors leave this year. What do you think our top 5 positions of need will be?

So does anyone have updated info on Santos?Like when he's coming 2 camp/Whats our chances with him...etc?This guy is a must have 4 us.

He his camping at aTm this weekend and their boards seem to think he might commit to them during the visit. He is very interested in them and a few other players might also commit to them as well.

I think this is wishful thinking. I work with an Aggie, he is on a pay sight and told me the same thing. His board offered no links, just rumors. OU is in play for him as well, and they are pretty much the Bama of the Big 12. Whatever recruits don't go to Texas usually go there. I would say we have just as good of chance at him as they do. I worry more about the bama and ou competition.

aTm is on the rise right now and in the state of Texas some recruits are starting to show concern with Texas and the staff.

They already have 22 commits for the 2012 class and depending on what service you go to they have anywhere from 8 to 11 4 stars in that group. This is already one of the best recruiting classes for aTm in a long time.

Santos and another 4 star LB Devall from LA are both visiting and I could see both commiting to aTm this weekend.

It does look like they will have a pretty good class this year. A&M has averaged 22nd since 2005 on Rivals, they do alright in recruiting. In 2005 they were 8th.

Rivals voted UGa 2nd in recruiting classes over the last 10 years. That's were good players become mediocre.

They have easily been the most underachieving program in college football over the last decade. It's not even close.

Will decide between A&M and Alabama. Will still visit Tennessee, so we have a shot still. Per VQ.

The 6-foot-2, 245-pound linebacker from Van, Texas said he plans to visit Alabama, along with Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas A&M next week.

"It'll be busy seeing all those schools, but I really think I've got it down to Alabama and (Texas) A&M.

"Playing in the SEC is big for me," Santos said. "The talent level is much better over there. There's a stronger, different breed of players who play in that league. The atmosphere at SEC schools is unmatched."

Maybe the kid thinks A&M ended up joining the SEC. Strange to make the comment he did and then list Bama and A&M as his 2 he is picking from. Why not just say he is headed to Bama?

You would think that he would like the idea of being a HUGE need and a player who would see PT from day 1 in the SEC at Tennessee VS going where he will just be another backer fighting to see the field at Bama.

No need to overreact about the article. He hasn't been on campus yet. That can change things dramatically.
