Forgot who said it, but someone said the staff seemed very excited today about recruiting. Taking this into consideration coupled with the fact that both DJ and Santos are committing, I feel as if we should at least get one. I do not feel great about either one though.

I have to agree. He will not be commiting here.. but I also feel that we will still be in the back of his mind until nsd. He loves us, just not the distance and from now till then it may change

If we miss on Santos(looks to be the case), then we are down to Neal and Harper. I think Harper is a bit small to play the middle but maybe he can add weight. Not many backers left to pick from. CDD may need to go on another project hunt.

I do as well. I think he would be a solid pickup. He is not on the Santos level(being able to start from day 1)...but he could play ball in the SEC.

Same here. If we lose DJ it doesn't hurt as much as Santos. Now I'm not saying DJ isn't worth winning I would be plum giddy, but Santos right now is a bigger need .

rumor has it that A&M is closer then ever to joining the SEC. some stuff about the LHN will be surfaced sunday. People are saying the whorns are just using this year to get their act together so the can become an Independent.

Looks like we may be setting nice with Mitchell.

Santos has expressed a preference for playing in the SEC and his game is much more suited to the SEC style of play than for A&M.

Definitely santos from a need perspective but DJ from a national recruiting standpoint and im personally tired of losing to FU at everything

Its Santos and its not even close. Santos would see PT right away. DJ would be AT LEAST a year after he got on campus. Whose to say that if DJ and Jelks both commited that Jelks would not get to 300 quicker and DJ would back him up for his career. We need backers now.

You might be right, but I cant imagine the staff missing out on two of the biggest recruits on our board all in one day. One of the two will be a Vol imo.
