Expected a full meltdown when I clicked on this thread. I'm glad to see it's more sensible than usual.

We'll be fine, guys. It's just one player.

It's been talked about since the offer was given. It helped ease the blow. If he would of committed on the spot the day the offer came or if he waited til weds then it would have been nuts up in hurrrrrr.....

Best of luck to the kid. Time to move on now and worry about the boys that love the Big Orange.

You can defend him all you want and justify any way you want...my opinion is Santos made a punk@$$ move. He stated since August that he was UT Vol, VFL, bled orange, couldn't wait to bust heads, etc..... He was none of the above...he was simply a Sirmon commit and never loved the real UT! And yes I know he is 18 and under pressure blah blah blah...Now with that said...I still wish he was a Vol, can't lie there...but I'm glad he not coming here if he really was not a VFL. Have fun playing DE cause you will never be a LB at Texas. I was an O'Brien and Santos fan from the day they chose UT...I'm glad one stuck with us and followed through with his commitment. Time to move on...we still in good shape and will be much improved next season.

Mad respect to Dalton for calling Dooley himself as soon as possible.

Its the reason this stings, and its the reason I will always cheer for Dalton if he is not playing Tennessee.

He was up front with our staff the entire way, and I truely hope this was his decision.

Again, he handled himself as well as anyone could in this instance.

:clapping:

Good luck Dalton.....our loss is Texas' gain. Would have loved to seen you in Big Orange.

Thanks for having the class to let your decision be known as early as possible.

Mr. Santos.....you can bite it. Ya' jackwagon.

It seems Texas knew that they could have him at any time. The proof was the late offer by Brown and the quick jump to Texas. Its to bad Santos could not see that he will not have the immediate impact that he would have here. I guess wearing the Longhorn and sitting on the bench means more to him than starting wearing the power T.
