Judging by his comments, Santos seems solid to UT without RS, but he told Scout that RS would "all but sign-seal-deliver his NLI to the Vols."

I don't think we have anything to worry about here, guys. VFL!

Your right 44 white played nose and Santos(44 black) clogged the middle on the black side Saw alot of mistakes from all players but Santos is huge and can def. be a run stopper up the middle for us!!!

Santos did look fast for his size once he got up to speed. Imo he needs to work on acceleration, which shouldn't be a problem after he gets into our s&c program. It kinda surprised me how well he played sideline to sideline, but he definitely is a monster up the middle. There was one instance when white was doing a sneak and the lineman submarined the dlinemen. Santos basically stepped into the a gap and took the entire gap away, which forced the qb lateral and ended up stopping the play. Big hits and big plays are nice, but little things like that are what impresses me

I watched the game and Dalton played Mike all night long...good speed for a big man...plays sideline to sideline...hope he stays committed...GBO!

He was getting props from Mariucci all night. This kid is going to be special. Ran down Pig a couple of times, great pursuit and gets the angles right almost all the time...a natural!

Good post. This is exactly what this team needs. Santos is a natural born leader, IMO.

Obviously, I totally agree, but wouldn't it be nice to have a guy with that sort of swagger in our locker room? I definitely endorse all the posts that say he could be an Al Wilson type of leader. I also respect how he repeatedly says to get the respect he's going to lay it down on the field. Baller status fo sho. We've just got to lock him down.

Looks like AJ was a bit stronger(Keith Marshall did truck Santos pretty good on the sideline). But Santos is definitely a better athlete. One play he flashed into the backfield and if it wasn't Marshall(with his great speed) he had an easy tackle for loss. I liked what I saw from Santos yesterday though.

My bad guys. All the talk on him bein so big and some peoples talk on his gut. I was so lookin at the wrong kid. Watchin the replay now on the U and he seems like a beast.

i said that earlier in this thread and got ripped for it.

I don't know why. AJ was ripped off by the "scouting pundits" much like Santos.

They are both huge and quick. I like big fast football players who don't mind to put their nose on the football.
