Seems like we are really going after the 2012 kids lately. I'm glad to see we are getting in with them early.

Cole is also in the class of 2012 and is the son of Mitchell High School's head coach. His coach's-son pedigree is evident as Cole was often found directing teammates and coaches as to what he was seeing in the defense. At receiver, Cole is an effortless athlete that seems to do everything with ease. He made some spectacular catches and then turned around on defense and had numerous interceptions on the day.

Could be Drae Bowles but it's early so we won't know until the rankings come out. I think Brandon Hill could be the number one player in state next year.

"I already have several offers. I have gotten them from Alabama, Ole Miss, and Memphis. I also am going to camp at those three places this summer to get a start on the recruiting process," said Cole. 



When asked what he will be looking at as he embarks on his recruitment journey, he didn't pin one main factor down. 



"It's really just kind of all of the above when you're talking about what I'm looking for. Coaching staff relationships, somewhere not too far from home, academics, playing time, they all are part of the search, it's not just one thing I'm looking for," added the versatile athlete. 



"I would like to play both sides of the ball if possible. I am a defensive back and receiver, and I like to do both. I guess if I had a choice right now I might rather play wide receiver, but we'll have to see."

i watched this kids highlights and he is a very solid receiver, but we are in a position to go after the top 10-15 receivers in this class and I don't think he fall in that category

Yes he falls into that category. Cole is a must get instate WR. He is a take no matter what.

A reliable poster on TOS (Galilee) stated that "UT is on the mind of Cole, Kimbrow, and Robinson, BIG TIME". This is huge news. If you don't know much about Galilee I will tell you. He is a very reliable poster and is very well connected in Memphis. He is the AD @ a private high school in Memphis. So basically he knows his stuff about Memphis athletics.

I'm pretty sure out of the 3 that Kimbrow is the only one currently with an offer, but Galilee stated that they are all being heavily pursued. Good news. Would great to go ahead and lock these 3 up. Will probably be 3 of the Top-5 in the state.

No. I'd say we take at least 3 or 4 WRs next class. Just taking 2 in Dallas and Arnett was a very small haul this year. Also I wouldn't call Cole or Bowles 100% done deals yet. It is very likely that Bowles is our first commit, but Cole is very interested in Bama among others. Will be a tough pull. But if we do land both I'm sure we will still be pursuing other WR targets in 2012.

Would be very nice to see Kimbrow become the ring leader for all the '12 talent in Memphis this year. I love hearing him talk about representing the state.

That's what I've been hearing. They definitely need to start immediately on Cole because I'd hate to lose another instate athlete to Alabama. Cole is a special player.
