12 TN RB I'tavius Mathers

Kentucky and UVA make his top four ahead of Tennessee, Clemson, and Alabama (all of whom offered)? Is he crazy, or is he getting slow-played?

I think you meant "slow-payed" since we are talking about Auburn.

Kentucky being in his final four is somewhat funny to me. I hope he ends up at Virginia but Carolina would be the best fit for him.

well he has been looking at kentucky but optimistic because how many big name TB's have came out of there so he is thinking it through very wisely....

I've heard early playing time is important to him so if that's the case, he has a better chance to get on the field early at his top 4 than at Tennessee, Clemson, or Alabama. I really wanted him as a Vol but good luck to him wherever he goes. I'll still hope for something to happen between now and signing day for him to become a Vol.

I've seen this kid play and I really think he is going to be a stud at the next level.

Seriously though good luck to this kid, he could grow into a decent back for the right team. I personally have never been that high on him but apparently Dooley liked him. Wish we could have gotten Robinson though, easily the best player in the state IMO. I know there are issues with him though.

ive talked to one of my friends that his dad talked to i'tavius's dad and he said spurrier has been calling him a lot and he likes south carolina and ole miss but one team that hasnt offered him is auburn is his favorite

i know he loves auburn but hasnt got offered yet so if he gets offered he will take it more than likely if not offered he will go to south carolina

Auburn will (more than likely) have Mike Blakely, Corey Grant, TJ Yeldon, and Jovon Robinson coming in as new RBs that year. Mathers isn't getting an offer.

Auburn will not offer unless the NCAA starts upping the heat on them and they get some decommittments -- at that point you have to think that Mathers is smart enough to avoid them.

Unless he is unwilling to sit behind Lattimore for a year (Lattimore is almost certain to be out after 3 years), he will pick USCe, imo.

Agree with the last 2 posts. Auburn has to many running backs already. It would not be a smart move to go to Auburn. It would be a smart move to go to USCe and sit behind Lattimore for a year, then compete for the starting spot his 2nd year.

i know he is talking with his family and coaches and thinking it through wisely he just likes auburn that is his team like tennessee is our team auburn is his

People still sign at the bottom of their posts? Amusing.

P.S. Your avatar lets the rest of us know who is posting. Jus sayin.

i'tavius's coach is the same coach of rod wilks the great recruit out of smyrna who hasnt even sniffed the field in his career at ut so his coach dis advised ut to i'tavius when chaney and doolie called....

Really? You call yourself a Vol fan and can't spell his LAST name? Heard that.

Gallatin will be scrimmaging @ Blackman next Friday, Aug. 5th... I'm not sure of the exact time yet. Gallatin will be one of the elite teams in 5A ball this year, but I still expect Mathers to have his way with them.

The Green Wave shut Mathers down.

Gallatin may be the best team in their classification this season. There is no reason for him to nothing to hang his head. Gallatin is big and fast this season. He had a couple nice runs, but Gallatin was able to contain him.
