12 TN RB I'tavius Mathers

I have a feeling that if we get either one, it will be Mathers. We already have our Jovon Robinson in Imani Cross.

What do I know? I do know I want Mathers as a Vol.

I agree about the Mathers part; as you see I believe he is going to push to be the #1 instate prospect.

About the other part: Everyone including myself gets caught up in the world of 6'7" 350 pound 4.2 40 DTs that are about as real as............well Bigfoot????

I cant make up my mind which I would rather have? Jovon Robinson or Mathers?

I want them both but its not going to happen; Isn't it great to have a year where Tennessee is going to have to pass on some really good instate talent. I don't want to pass on them but that is whats going to happen. WR and RB positions are strong this year.

I have a feeling that if we get either one, it will be Mathers. We already have our Jovon Robinson in Imani Cross.

Thats what made the IC commit a surprise to me; I thought Tennessee would sign the instate kids and if Tennessee got one from out of state it would be a top 10 RB. IC has mad skills and in any other year he would be a bell ringer for me. It just didn't fit what I thought would happen and worries me that our instate talent may compete against Tennessee in the future.

IMO, can't lose either way....

The big three RBs are all takes.

My last post was from that article. Says his only visit set up so far is for UT this weekend. Article is mainly about his offer from USC and his talks with former UT back, Jay Graham.

Has 15 offers with South Carolina and Mississippi State being the most recent. Was impressed by his weekend visit to UT. Likes UT's coaching staff.

"It was pretty good. They showed me around the campus and then I got to go on the field and watch practice and got to talk to all the coaches and they put me in a meeting," Mathers said. "I got to see how they come out to practice and get excited every day."
"It was different than what I thought it was going to be. I didn't know the stadium was going to be that big and how they treat the players," Mathers said.

Mathers on the UT coaches, "They told me that they want to keep me in the state on Tennessee."
