'12 TN QB Patton Robinette

cait mcmahan went to heritage and was solid when she was healthy. she came in from hs with two broken knees.

brad hilsher needs to be mentioned with the murvul busts.

Not even close.

Definitely not. Ivy League school don't even offer merit scholarships, and I can tell you from experience that a 35 won't even get you a free ride at a lot of smaller liberal arts schools in the Southeast.

4.5 GPA? Wow, that must mean half of his classes were AP or weighted some other way. My high school I don't think even offered close to that many classes.

Same here. I think the highest you could get at my high school was something like a 4.03. But our AP classes were only weighted 4.3. I did date a girl from South Carolina who made a 5.1. When people start throwing out those kinds of numbers, I don't even know what they signify anymore.

When this kid lights up heritage, everyone from Maryville will post that he's the next Peyton manning.

Great high school QB. Not SEC material. Will do well in FCS. If I were him I'd weight my Ivy League offers and jump on one.

And to think he repeated 8th grade....(and no, I'm not kidding).

Had the opportunity to play with Patton at Heritage Middle School in 2005 (I was an 8th grader, he a 7th grader). His dad is the former principal there. Played center on the team and Patton was, obviously, quarterback. He's not only book smart, but he's been football smart for as long as I can remember. He was held back to repeat the 8th grade to give him the opportunity to play for MHS for 4 years instead of three (Sitting out a year on transfer).

Wonder if Robinette reconsiders his decision now? With Butch Davis being fired and the NCAA on UNC's doorstep.

He has some pretty decent offers to play football. Purdue, UCF, Vandy, etc.

He also is very smart and has offers from academic powers such as Harvard, Northwestern, and Vandy (again). With that GPA and ACT score I'm sure he actually could go anywhere he wants in the country to be strictly a student.

I have no idea, but he might want to play closer to home (Vandy) now that his school's HC just got fired.

How did he do last night? I saw him on the Elite 11 show...hmmm

Very Well, the first thing that you notice is how well he runs the offense. He sells the fake on the zone read well, was extremely accurate last night and you can tell he is very smart. A couple of times he had the awareness to pitch the ball as he was about to be sacked that led to a first down. Nothing flashy but he is someone that you want running your offense.

Interesting "friend of a friend" story I heard about Robinette, yesterday.

Apparently, my Econ teacher is friends with PR's dad, and he said he's still solid to UNC because he wants to be a doctor. He's not really worried about the football side of things. Also, he said they've heard the name... wait for it... wait for it... Phillip Fulmer tossed around as a possible candidate for the head coaching position at UNC.
