I'm a bit surprised that we have not offered this guy but we only need a few OLinemen in this class.

So maybe we have much better options that will be a VFL?

4 * per Rivals. That's a very good ranking.

I say toss the kid an offer. He is rated higher than Jelks and maybe he jumps at it. Worse thing could happen is he lists Arkansas State as his leader.

If you think this staff tosses offers around based on Rivals star rankings, you aren't paying attention.

By the staff not offering this kid & offering Jelks it goes to prove they dont care about star ratings, they judge talent by their own eyes. Same thing w/ Sealand, I thought his film looked good & deserved an offer but the staff thought different & didnt offer. They are doing their due diligence w/ recruiting.

Which means if people will be patient, DD will build the kind of team we need.

In-state OL prospects aren't what they have been the past couple of years, IMO. We're going after Jelks, and that's who we want. We're taking probably 2-3 OL this year and being done. Plus, we can be somewhat selective on OL for once.

In-state OL prospects with offers from FL, Penn State, Michigan and LSU are welcome anytime IMO.

Just because a prospect has the offers, doesn't mean those teams will let him pull the trigger publicly when he wants. Each team's board is different, and they are listed mostly in order of want/need/ability. Some kids have to continually wait in order to go where they want, and some kids go the path of least resistance. Happens every recruiting year.

I have no idea why we won't recruit MBA or BA...The Barron kid (DL) at BA is likely going to commit to VaTech, and we aren't even recruiting him.

MBA hasn't really had any big-time prospects lately...Tennessee signed Bartholomew and Bailey in 2008, which is probably at least one more than they should have.
