'12 TN K Landon Foster

Agreed about using a schol on Foster. To be able to pin teams back the way he can is worth it. We need healthy kid's with amazing leg's. This kid was booming 60 yards or more at an MBA game last year.... during warmups. ( punts... he is a combo )I was there. NFL hang times as well. 5 seconds average. It's all conjecture though. If they are messing kid's up when they get there then it doesn't matter how good they are out of high school. Hope this get's fixed this year. CDD... show us you deserve those big bucks!

At the mccallie vs. MBA game he hit a 55 yarder to tie the game, and a 53 yarder to win it. It was ridiculous

He doesn't go to MBA... He will be a Sr. at Independence in Franklin. I saw him when they came up to Nashville last fall. His head Coach is Kevin Dyson. This is a kid to watch no matter where he ends up. Any word on where he is headed?
:yuck:

anyway why would there not be a thread ? He is one of the nations elite punters and elite kickers, we are having issues with our kicker & untested punter. Yep your right don't see why we need this thread. :ermm:

Hey Landon, thanks for your opinion. Now can you please take your golden leg and GT/FO? Don't you have balls to go kick around for about 3 hours while the real players practice in 98 degree weather?

I can tell you that's not Landon, but hey thanks for the disrespect to the young man ! :good!:

Oh yea and on the real players comment, I remember the Colquitt family keeping us in a hell-of-a-lot of games ... guess we dont need kickers & punters in your opinion.

Thats funny Missouri wants Landon too, anyway why would there not be a thread ? He is one of the nations elite punters and elite kickers, we are having issues with our kicker & untested punter. Yep your right don't see why we need this thread. :ermm:

You just need to take a timeout and realize your boy Landon isn't gonna get a scholly here. We have 2 kickers that were higher rated than Foster out of high school and who are underclassmen so why would we take another?

Hate to break it to you, but this kid isn't getting a scholly. We have 2 underclassmen kickers who were higher rated than this guy coming out of high school, so why would we waste a scholly to have another one?

well here's my take. Obviously the coaches feel uneasy about the health of Palardy, as they had offered another guy earlier but he committed to UF I think. So they are looking for a guy, but they are not necessarily looking for a guy to come play for 4 years. It wouldn't make sense to have a guy come in and redshirt if the coaches are worried about their health right now. I say bring a JC guy in and medical RS Palardy for that first year and there ya go. That is, if Palardy's health is still an issue. And stop complaining about Foster. :stop: He'll do fine wherever he goes.

believe if you knew you have no idea what you are talking about. Due to respect to the Fosters I will not post in Landon's thread.

yes he will

I'm not sure what to make of that first sentence, but I'm all for the second sentence even though it's still hard to make out what it says.

sorry for the lack of a complete sentence. I was typing a reply, then changing my statement because I was asked not to post information from the father of Landon. Sorry for not proof reading .......

I was responding to the statement by ...

He'll do fine wherever he goes.

He will do fine wherever he goes.

Derrick Brodus... is the walk on that's been picked up as I understand it. Don't know how good he is. I guess we'll see through the season if it's smarter to take top rated kickers on schollie or not. I hope Pallardy breaks out this year and lives up to his hype.

As a vandy fan, I would have liked to land foster. My guess is that he didn't want to greyshirt and cooke was willing to. We don't have many scholarships to offer this year and both our kicker and punter will be juniors this season. Cooke sounds like a solid prospect as he hit 10/12 fgs as a JR and averaged 40+ yds per punt. Fits a future need without using up a needed scholarship this year that could go to a much needed lineman.
