Also said he is hopeing for a offer. Will be in Ktown for the O & W game. He also says he has offers from Vandy and BC

Pretty impressive film, especially considering it is only from 2 games. I would love to see him get coached up by a good D-line coach. His potential is pretty high, but I am not sure we are going to offer since we need help now.

FWIW it said in the article that he has only been playing for 3 years. He is raw should have good upside.

I am not saying we will offer him or anything. Just wanted to add that now that i have seen his video.

If Tennessee had more depth and not as many D-Line "projects" at present then CA may have received an offer, but I believe we pass. IMO.
D Buckner (Rivals 250 Watch List)---3 yrs playing f'ball---has much more upside potential but (I understand) Tennessee passed.

Does this kid play offense any?

Seems like he has the perfect frame to play TE if he can catch. An athletic TE project might be worth a scholly...

batey wasn't the only standout from the volunteer state to turn heads, as azubike, a chiseled 6-4, 234 pounder, made the trip well worthwhile with an outstanding rating for a defensive lineman at 94.86. He was solid in each testing field, running a 4.90 40, a 4.37 shuttle, throwing the power ball 38.5 feet and jumping 30.3 inches in the vertical. Boston college and vanderbilt are the first two offers for azubike, who totaled 17 sacks as a junior last fall.

Vandy's new staff has given out some good offer and gotten some elite talent to visit this spring.

Caleb is still stuck at 2 offers, Vandy and BC. He claims Vandy as his leader and BC as his 2nd team, naturally. He will visit UT on April 2nd. He believes he will be getting a UT or Virginia offer soon.

"Vanderbilt is recruiting me the hardest," Azubike said. "If I had to guess, I would say either Tennessee or Virginia will be next [to offer]. I believe it will be UT. I have a lot of schools that really want to offer, but they all want me to come [visit] first."

It's hard to judge him based on such limited film but his size and speed are pretty impressive. I hope he camps during the summer.

I hope he camps at UT. Would like the staff to get a closer look at him. IMO he isn't a take ATM unless we miss on alot of bigger DL prospects. However, if the coaches like what they see at a camp then they could offer him on the spot.
