last word i got (7/22), is that he and his mom are planning to visit MSU this weekend...idk if that is still the plan though

His sis going to UT REALLLY scares me though...i mean...REALLY...

This one is and has been a done deal for a couple weeks.

No worries at all.

Just ready for another fun week of announcements next week. A Monday and A Friday Vol commitments I hope!

I have a question, what was all that stuff about him not having a committable offer from you guys???

Some say that was bogus, some say it turned committable a couple weeks ago...

does anyone know the REAL story??

Basically bogus. At one point in the summer the coaches told him that his offer was conditional. They said he needed to show at camp and run the 40 in front of them. It was overblown when he showed for camp and didn't run in front of them due to injury. Most assumed that he still needed to post a 40 at a camp to solidify his offer. That turned out to not be true.

I think, and this is only my opinion, they told him that to get him to visit knowing all along his offer was solid. They just wanted him to camp at UT. TIFWIW.

The Redmond recruitment has been strange. Originally he was a Kimbrow package. Then he blew up at all the camps he went to and people really saw him as a gem. I think he's a Vol, IMO. I base that on everything out there from this board and Brent Hubbs. I honestly think that if UNC wasn't facing sanctions he would be a Tar Heel. Apparently distance doesn't bother him at all.

We're as confident now as we'll ever be that Redmond is a Vol. Not saying Simmons gave a false report, but a lot of reliable sources say UT is sitting pretty here.

Not saying any of your reports are false either...I was just giving you a look at what we are hearing on our side of it...different people have different sources...and sometimes kids tell different reporters different things....

I have little doubt its coming down to UT and MSU (again...geez..why can't you guys go away...lol)

For a while, UT was sitting on the outside looking in while MSU and UNC were doing really good work with Redmond.

MSU is doing well again with some top recruits. Seem to have a lot of the same targets.

I don't think that is a coincidence...not at all...I think Dooley and Mullen are attempting to go about things in a similar way. Placing more value on the kid's work ethic and ability you can see on the field...than what websites say.

BTW, we have been hearing rumblings that Redmond is on the UA AA game watch list...
