Who will Kimbrow choose?

It was unofficial and I'm sure the coaches went all out to impress the kid. They dont have the talent on campus to have the luxury to simply not care about the state's top prospect. They need the type of speed he brings to the table in the worst way.

Or could the kid just be keeping his feelings about us close to the chest, and trying not to give away to much on what he really thinks about UT?

It's possible.

Tiny Richardson did the same thing throughout his recruitment. He wouldn't say much about UT, but he knew all along that's where he would end up.

Not saying that's the case with Kimbrow, but it might.

I'd dont think he's a Vandy lock at all. I'd actually watchout for Cincinnati. He likes them a lot and he's visiting there in the next few weeks. Plus a lot of his friends appear to be leaning that way too (Nathan Cole, Will Gross, etc.) right now.

Haha I wasn't serious about that. I was being sarcastic because there has been a recent string of Vandy jokes involving recruiting. Seriously though, I still hope he ends up here. Time will tell though.

I hear ya. People worried about Vandy need to get a grip IMO. I will be stunned if he ends up at Vandy by the time February rolls around. It makes no sense whatsover. Why would a kid with his build go to a school that has absolutely no offensive line talent whatsoever and take the kind of beating he would take there?

I mean Vandy offers a good education and his family might push him there for that. But UT's education is pretty good too. You make a good point about the offensive line. But we as fans see things one way and the recruits/players may see it another. It makes sense to us why he'd choose to come here, but he may have other reasons to not.

Alot of people on other boards think that the coaches dont think as highly of him as we all do.

Of course they do. They always say that when it doesn't look like Tennessee is in the driver's seat for a prospect. There were idiots on that board last year saying the coaches didn't think Richardson was all that important when it looked like he was starting to lean towards Georgia. You could predict to a tee which people were going to come out and start saying things like that as soon as he publicly named Vandy his leader. Swan Man being one of the main ones who somehow people still think is an impeccable source though he's turned out wrong on a number of things he's said in the last year.

The coaches have already spent a ton of effort with Kimbrow dating back to last year. There is no way they aren't high on him or dont want him.

I agree with what Montrell says, and to me I get the feeling like I said before he's keeping his feelings about UT close to him, the same way Tiny did

I do agree with you but there are also some that prefer other RB's before him and I guess that's their right. Me, I hope we get him, but to say as one person said on one of the threads that it would be a massive blow to us is a little over board. If he decides to go somewhere else I want lose sleep over it. One more thing, enough with the Vandy jokes. Thank you.

If he does not come to UT then I hope he does go to Vandy. There would be absolutely no fear of him winning any kind of championship there.

I agree with this. AR was really subtle when he talked about UT. And for the most part, he was very quiet about UT; he didn't mention us that much down the stretch.

I think BK has realized he's going to take a while to make a decision, and he's not going to give any clues when he gives interviews.

Why do people want bad things for kids who decide not to be a Vol? I sometimes read posts and feel like I'm back in high school

+1. It's idiotic, hopefully the ones that say things like that are just immature teenagers.

They belong grouped with the ones that make some kind of excuse every time they lose out on a prospect that would be a huge upgrade in talent to what is currently on the roster. You know the old "Tennessee didn't really want him" line.
