I spoke with a recruit that is pretty close to Kimbrow at the O & W game. He said that him, Redmond, and Kimbrow all talked about playing together at UT. The recruit also said that he thinks Kimbrow already knows where he is going but he wouldnt come out and say

i think that if ut wants kimbrow they should tell him they want his commit because he is an instate player,or push him down their want list.not many players his size have ever done much for vols in recent years as a rb,and guys posted nash nance is a waste of a scolership, then there are several other waste.i think that having more than one player 5,8 165 or smaller is a waste because there are not many positions they can play besides returner .sure speed kills but it has to get by or around much bigger players.we have a speedster in dy what do we need another for .

Because 5'8 165 speedsters get broken trying to get around much bigger players.

Lol that's all I have. I don't want to mention his name because I'm pretty close to him and don't want to ruin him telling me good info

They ask him what he likes about TN and he says
"The coaches, tradition and the team chemistry."
Then at the end they ask him what are going to be the main factors in him picking his final school and he says.
"Tradition, my relationship with the coaches, and how I get along with the team."

Hmmmmmmmmm:question:

I was thinking the same thing....and actually he says "chemistry with the team and players" at the end. So he mentioned all three exactly the same both times. Sounds good!

Man Will Gross sounds like he is about to blow up to elite QB status. I hope they go all out for this guy.

While I think they want to take a QB in this class, with missing on Gunner and Zeke...I think QB has moved further down the priority list. Kimbrow seems to be #1, and I would think the front 7 on D would be next. They still have several offers out to QBs, so I don't think they are throwing it all at one.

Go Vols!

They are being choosey with their QB offers, I agree, but they are recruiting the guys they've offered just as hard as any other position. I'm really curious how you think they prioritize that.

Just an opinion really. I am sure they rank these kids in some way when it comes to need. While a QB would be fine...the other needs in this class I could see being considered more important. While a coach may call or visit a recruit....I would bet some recruits get the whole staff thrown at them. While Chaney may visit a QB, I could see a prime DT getting 3-4 coaches visit with him.

The staff gets 300 points to spend each week. If we can get back to championship level, we will be in the 400's.

I don't understand. I thought all recruiting had to be done in five weeks between the bowl and spring practice. Also, I am glad we didn't have to spend any points keeping underclassmen out of the NFL draft.

If they were really smart they would just start creating studs and making their hometown Knoxville. Never failed me.

Anywhere in Tennessee willl work. I usually favor Adairville. High school power right there. Only 8 points for an in-home with Coach Dooley!
