Cals flagship university and number one science school in the country. They produce more PhD in Natural Sciences and Mathematics than any school in the country. Greek squad that plays football! lol

That's crazy. I had no idea. I guess I have a hard time believing all those Cal people who live up in those trees have much inteligence haha.

my wife has a mathematics degree from Cal..she was slumming it when she married a 6 yr undergrad from FAMU! :loco: lol

I really never considered the University of California to be a place to get a Top-5 degree. I'm sure they are, but I just never really pictured Cal as a top academic school.

Cal is a top-notch school. It depends on the program, but graduate-degree wise, they have many that are at the top or very near the top (2nd or 3rd).

Thanks guys. I wasn't being sarcastic or trying to knock on Cal in any way. I just honestly wasn't aware of them being so academically prestigious. Learn something new every day. :hi:

Yeah .... Because art evens didn't get suspended over car payments or anything..........

I know Dooley is a Character-building kind of guy, but some of you act like he controls the boosters. Don't fool yourself into believing that pay-for-play only happens at Auburn. See this new article today:

Report: Four former Auburn players got cash - ESPN

I love UT, but I'm not foolish enough to believe that there are some on our team that got paid to sign with us, and Dooley (or any other coach) has no control over it.

I was talking about players getting cars... Not cash.....

It's not like the organization that oversees these things just did an in depth investigation into UT football and found absolutely nothing like this...

I'm sure they were so distracted with the hostess thing that they probably didn't even look into it.

(/sarcasm)

I bet if I were to tell you Erik Ainge and some other players were addicted to drugs you would not believe it because we have a drug testing program.....

That's a fair point. Since I really have no faith in the NCAA at this point, I shouldn't use them to make a point.

yes, I would like to believe the NCAA was legit, but you don't have to follow College football long to understand they have no balls

I didn't know the thought that college players get extra benefits was some new, crazy idea. I think people are laughing because you're making such a big deal about it.

I didn't think I was making a big deal about it. I just made one post that Kimbrow's recruitment might get dragged out because of benefits. then others kept posting.

Anyhow, I don't want to be the one responsible for hijacking this thread. So, anyone who makes another post about it will be the culprit....

now, let's move on back to the topic: Kimbrow Slice!

“Yeah I’m hearing those rumors,” Kimbrow said. “Those rumors aren’t true. I don’t know where they are coming from. I like Tennessee a lot.”

How much does Kimbrow like the Vols?

“A lot, they are still very high on my list,” Kimbrow said. “I now have over 27 offers, I’m wanting to keep all my options open right now until I see a lot of campuses. I haven’t eliminated anyone, especially not Tennessee.”
- Scout

Kimbrow was suppose to be on campus this past weekend but his ride didnt show up, he will be here for the spring game. Also in his recent track meet he ran a 10.7 100m & he says it was in a strong wind.

IMO Vol!!

I don't see us letting this guy slip away. I've felt that way for a while. I know skeeter is very reliable and his credibility shouldn't be questioned, for now, but I couldnt agree with what he reported on Kimbrow.

I think it's probably true, but Dooley and Co. fixed the problem.

This kid is a must get in the this class. We need all the speed we can get to add to the speed we picked up this past year.
