"I got the offer at the camp," Kimbrow said. "Coach Dooley told me to come to his office and he said he was going to offer but hadn't gotten a chance to watch me. So he wanted me to come to camp to see if all the talk was true."

"I was excited because I've always wanted to go to Tennessee," he said. "I love the running backs they breed there. Coach Dooley said they just wanted to have the ball in my hands."

He has run multiple sub-4.4 40s including a 4.25 at Bama's camp.

He already holds offers from Tennessee, Auburn, Ole Miss, Miss St, Memphis, and MTSU.

Something tells me that the staff could press for a commitment from this kid early in order to get in Memphis more next year.

Kimbrow will be a great pickup and hopefully will commit early. For all of those "we need to lock down TN" guys on this board, we need to lock down Memphis more so than any other area as they produce a large portion of the D1 athletes in the state.

Memphis represent.

This kid is going to be the real deal. Anyone know if any of those 40's were laser-timed? I hope he stays committed (maybe wrong choice of word) to being a Vol some day.

Lock him up early. We haven't had just raw speed in the backfield/return game since Coker left.

Fella is an itty bitty thing! I hate to be the one... but how is he compared to Devrin Young? Seems faster and I would imagine the competition is better...

Obviously he's seen as simply being a better player and prospect by coaches since he's already sitting on 4 SEC offers as a junior and Young has zero.

The only thing they probably have in common is their size, nothing more.

Kimbrow looks like he could excel at a number of skill positions in college.

I think Young could have things open up for him if he would be willing to play CB. He did well in camps at that position.
