'12 SC WR Quinshad Davis

I believe that if Davis wants to commit before Patterson, we definitely have to take him even if it hurts us with Patterson. If Patterson then still wants to commit, we take him also and I personally would hope we would hang onto Davis but there is always the chance he could flip to another school if we took Patterson.

One other scenario that is equally valid -- if we took Davis, we just might pass on Patterson due to concern over his grades and the fear that Davis might flip on us on NSD.

Thank you. Gas pumpers are everywhere. Just ask Alshon. Although, I will say ours might not look so bad if we actually had some championships to fall back on. :)

IMO when Davis comes for a visit and if he gives CDD a verbal he will be in this class. We have not lost many verbals with CDD at the helm. I like Patterson but I don't know how much he likes us anymore. The dawgs and barners are in play here with him.I know some here say Patterson will be a Vol. I would love to have both but I don't see that happening because of the numbers crunch.

With the commitment of Deion Bonner, we have 3 (4 spots if Bullock is a preferred walk-on) more spots left to fill. I really thought that the coaches wanted 2 more WRs. If you look at the depth chart outside of our 2 big guns, we have A LOT of talented youth or average experienced WRs. I think that we are done at the LB position, unless R. Brown changes his mind. I really think the coaches want both Q. Davis and CP. To fill the last spot we have to have another freshmen DT...Kirven or Shanks...we may miss on both of them. If Bullock does walk-on, then we can take both WRs, Shelton at CB (if he comes for OV next wkend and likes it...who wouldn't?), and one of the 2 DTs. What do you guys think? SBV, OCI, Skeet, LWS, and any other insider, do you guys have any info, as to our wants to finish off this class?

Apparently, the Vols have three spots left while they are still recruiting a lot of prospects including Davis, Patterson, Brown, Kirven, Shanks, and Shelton. If any of those prospects commit to the Vols we will take them especially the DT's and the WR's. On NSD the first 25 that get the signed LOI in to the school are the ones that will be Vols. Its a good problem for the Vols to have, too many good prospects all wanting to be Vols.

Havent seen that in a while, nice to have kids beatin down the door! :yu:

Since we only have 3 spots left because bullard counts toward this year. Do you think we still take patterson and q. davis since that would put us at 25 since bonner committed?

If QD signs with UT, he will be another 4*, top 250 player on Rivals. We would have a total of 11 four stars with QD and Bonner. Sounds good to me.

Tennessee will probably have 4 spots left, I believe either Gray or Borque (sic) will decommit. Gray has never been solid.

I don't consider any player who has already decommitted from 2 schools solid. I stand by my belief about Gray as well. Not worried about Santos, Arkansas is way too late in this process and they are not known for their defense under Petrino.

McNeil may be a problem.

Back to Davis, forgot to post something about him in my lost post, because this is his thread. He was named to the Parade All American team a couple weeks ago as one of the top 4-5 WR's in the country. Old news, but impressive, hope we get him.

You obviously haven't been keeping up much with Tennessee recruiting here recently have you? McNeil is as solid as they come now. His mom loves Tennessee, McNeil loves Tennessee. He's still taking visits, but we locked him up on his visit last week. Due to his track record of decommits, there's a little bit of worry with Bourque, but he really seems to like Tennessee and I think he'll stick with us. Santos and McNeil im not worried about. Gray however, might be told to look elsewhere due to Shelton and Bonner. And ive heard he may have grade issues as well. Gray possesses top notch speed and would grow into a great CB if he's apart of this class imo, but the light may be looking dim for him at the moment.

Kid will be a stud, nice to see he is a great student. Hopefully we get him. Looks like it could be a NSD decision.
