'12 SC WR Quinshad Davis

Man, that will seal the deal if he is coming. Dooley has to know if he is going to commit or not thi close I'm sure.

If we get Davis do you think it'll affect Patterson?

Patterson is def a take if he wants to come. With it getting this tight and still about 5-6 targets out there I'd bet the Kicker, does not get a scholly.

We are getting tight with these being close to committing to UT:

Bonner, Davis - Most likely (Bonner seems to be a done deal),

Shelton, Kirven, Shanks, Patterson (still possible)

Mike Davis, Goldman, and Brown (very unlikely IMO).

Only reason I even mentioned Goldman is Sunseri trying to recruit him and Mike Davis is still getting recruited by CJG.

My opinion. If he wanted to be a Cock (snicker), he likely would have committed by now.

When the Cocks first offered a scholly it was as a grayshirt because they were full. Now after some recruits flamed out they offered him a full scholly, but I think he would feel insulted now to take it.

With that said, I'm not nervous about SC, rather Wake Forest and UNC.

Thanks.

Bonner, Q Davis, Kirven, and Shanks would be my wish list. IMO I'd take both Kirven and Shanks over Patterson if we land Q Davis.

I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty confident we offered him a scholly last spring and then pulled it when more talented kids were showing interest.

Q. Davis is a 4 star, 6'3" receiver. USC would have been crazy to pull a scholly on someone that talented imo.

has spurrier done crazier things before? uh yes. btw he doesn't really recruit much, so whoever is doing it for him is just relying on that instate talent to carry them over every year.

If that's true (the scholly pulled), then Spurrier can recruit that way all he wants, lol. South Carolina is deep, but its not Florida/Texas.

not sure what the approach is, but Spurrier is doing something right with their recruiting...

spurrier is weird man, one of my professors who is an internal med doctor up here, his mom plays golf with spurrier, and spurrier being from JC. My prof, went to UT and always chews out spurrier everytime he is up here playing golf with her. the story he tells us are hilarious.

Just because he is 6'3" and a 4 star doesn't mean everyone wants him. Matt Milton was 6'4"-6'5" and a 4 star. Look how well he did. He couldn't even get on the field with a very thin WR roster. If you can't beat out a true freshmen or Z. Rogers, you don't deserve to play.

Davis' biggest knock, ATP, I think is the fact he's not the fastest guy.

dude most of their class is from SC, which is talent rich, Lattimore, Clowney, all talents born and raised in SC.
Should I even mention Jeffrey? I mean the dude has every year gotten a top position player that is from SC. You can guarantee that in the top 10 overall classifications of HS players, one is from SC and that guy is a Cock.

on top of that, spurriers recent success rides on a down ridden SEC east, and he happens to have some DL that have flourished under Ellis Johnson's system, now he is gone I'd like to see how they do.
