'12 SC WR Quinshad Davis

That's exactly the effect I thought it would have. Bad move by the Cocks.

From what I have read, and what I read could be wrong, but it was our only option at the time. We were banking on getting two other recruits and didn't have room. He has since received an offer from SC.

How is it a bad move?

You have a solid recruit who has multiple offers from schools equal or better than your status and you tell him, "well, I know you could go there for a full ride and play, but we'll let you pay your own way here and sit around for a year."

I just can't see how that could possibly be a good move. Not to mention, the player could stir the pot with other recruits, HS coaches get pissed, etc...

Is it not clear that they felt they better options, whether true or not? If they believe that, it's exactly the right move.

Kid has a 4.0, he wouldn't have to pay much, if anything. He had an offer from SC last spring, but it got pulled when bigger recruits were showing interest.

So I am extremely concerned with Wake Forrest. I wonder if we can pull them from them. Most other fan boards are not evening mentioning UT as the one to beat but Wake. Of course other sites suck.

He played some good competition. Byrnes, my alma mater, is usually a power in the state & occasionally the nation. Dorman, Northwestern, & South Pointe are usually pretty strong.

Thanks. Well that's good to hear. 2000+ yards is a lot for one receiver. That's RB numbers.

Of course USCjr sites think Wake will land him, they don't want to lose Davis to UT. Losing him to Wake, a team that has recruited him for a much longer time and is in the ACC, wouldn't hurt as much. Davis choosing UT would sting quite a bit for cock fans. JMO

very true, he's a smart kid. 4.0 GPA, maybe he wants a WF degree, but the only way we lose him is if he values a the name on his degree more than football.
