His first step is slow. He lacks that acceleration and burst off the line, IMO. You can't teach speed, but IMO, he's fast enough. He can work on acceleration. That can be trained somewhat. You can't teach great hands, and he definitely has that. He's also tall with long arms. Body-wise, he does look like Hunter.

Also, FWIW Davis has a 3.9 GPA so grades should not be an issue.

Agreed. Just pointing out that he may not be able to outrun some defenders after the catch. But I still definitely want him to be a vol. Who's really going after him now besides us and wake?
