'12 SC WR Quinshad Davis

We are recruiting against Wake and UNC, I think that's all you need to know. I think everybody really likes our chances and from all indications he will pick UT next week.

The only way I could see him not committing is if we get CP and he is worried about playing time. He has not indicated this at all, but 6 WR's in a class is a lot of players at one position.

He leaves Knoxville highly impressed with the Vols and talked about how he believes he could make an impact here, and coaches told him as much, next season. Said he will not publicly announce his decision until noon signing day at his high school in Gaffney, S.C.

Raved about his host, Brian Randolph, and said he spent a lot of time with Justin Coleman and Trevarris Saulsberry and that all the freshmen telling him coaches are legit when they talk about playing right away really stood out to him.

I will have the story here shortly.

Someone asked John Brice if he thought Davis would be a Vol...

I've said for a good bit I like Tennessee's momentum here, and at the risk of sounding all gooey, I'm a big Quinshad Davis fan. Have been raving about him since Andy Gribble and I saw him play against Worley's team the last Friday in October 2010. Great kid, great natural skills and love his size and potential. I came back to Knoxville from that game talking to UT's coaches about Davis and haven't stopped since haha.

Ha Coleman and Randolph were probably saying early playing time was legit. Saulsberry, not so much.

If you're a WR or DB or really RB, then early playing time and no redshirt is likely. Not for the big uglies. And I reckon that if Hood's shoulder got any worse, Saulsberry would've played last year as well.

But seriously, the WR corps is way too thin for any of these guys to take up residence on the bench. Even with CP and Davis all four of the WR recruits will likely see time on the field this year doing stuff.

Your statement, juxtaposed with the rational one of Appalachiamuck right above it, highlights the obsession.

This is just a message board about football for goodness sake. No need to get so riled up about a perceived "troll". Regardless of OCI's insider or outsider status, he contributes to the overall discussion here.

Whether its accurate info or not, it does not make every poster on here a "sheep" because we can read his posts without calling names and crying alarm.

Here's an idea, let go of the notion that you ate the Paul revere of the message board, alerting us about OCI. Just let him post and sit back and see what happens. If the whole board descends into chaos and anarchy within a week or two, feel free to say " I told you so."

Good post
