I wonder how the staff evaluates Cameron vs. Mornhinweg. Both have skills, but are talented in different areas of the game.

ESPN Evaluation:

Mornhinweg is a very athletic prospect under center. He is not necessarily utilized as a dual-threat, but he really is one given his quickness and foot speed. Looks like a pocket passer with very good size and an athletic frame that has room to fill out. Is tall and can see the field. He's a coach's kid so he has had some advantages around the game that others have not. Possesses a lot of varsity experience at a successful program. Plays in a multiple scheme and could play in any scheme at the next level. Splits time under center as well as out of the shotgun. The best thing Mornhinweg does is get the ball out quickly. Shows a very compact, quick and consistent delivery. Mechanics are smooth and his methods are consistent from snap-to-snap. Shows good footwork away from center in the drop back passing game although we wish he has a little more urgency to his drops. He carries the ball high and is balanced in his set up. When he transfers his weight properly he can generate some RPMs on throws to intermediate and deep areas of the field. Shows flashes of being very quick in his progressions, resetting his feet and working to the next option. We feel Mornhinweg possesses good arm strength, but maybe not elite. Can make all the necessary throws. His feet determine his accuracy and there are times where he looks really sharp and on point and others where the ball will spray at times. Although the ball jumps off his hand, he also tends to "cup" the ball some with his wrist and palm which at times can give the impression he pushes the ball. Athletically he is really talented. Has great feet, initial quickness as a runner and very good top end speed for the position. Is actually a very promising safety prospect as well. He is more elusive than he is sudden in his change-of-direction, but when he gets into the open field he can be very dangerous. Mornhinweg has the size, arm and certainly athleticism to warrant a lot of BCS level attention. Reminds us of an Alex Smith type in his measurables and skill set.

A former Stanford commit, Mornhinweg has scholarship offers from Alabama, Illinois, Penn State, Stanford and Tennessee. He visited Alabama, Boston College, Penn State, Rutgers and Tennessee earlier this summer.

Not much info in the article. Just says he plans to decide in the next week or two.

From TOS:

“There are some who I have been in contact a lot with. I’ve been in contact with Tennessee recently. I know my mom and dad have too.”

The tease on the article said QB to decide in two weeks.

When I saw the last name and Pennsylvania. I figured that it was Marty's son. I hope the son can play better than the dad can coach. He was horrible as the Detriot Lions coach, but then again, isn't everyone horrible as a coach at Detroit? Maybe Marty's true calling is that of an assistant, like he is not at Philly (Kill a delphia)

Schwartz will take Detroit to the conf. 'ship....#Titanshomer lol

Penn St would be my guess. Stanford fans seem to think they are passing on taking a QB in this class after Winston eliminated them.

Not really relevant to UT, but Mornhinweg is another in a long line of PSU decommits.
